This song has been covered by a number of people; Suzy's rendition is my favorite. She never seemed to receive the attention that she deserved, but this lady can still sing.
How so, please explain. So many folks throw out this "underrated " garbage like they are some kind industry insider. Let's hear your take on how Suzy is underrated. She has won ACMA awards, CMMA awards, and Gramy awards, how is that under rated?
Hollywood even today could ‘plug Suzy’s character ‘as-is’ into a large-ranch or multi-family large-farm scenario; Suzy would fit right in with a musical farm or ranch big family. It’d be a cinch.
"Fill the dance floor" is the ONLY disappointment in this... I see people with their feet swaying and toes tappin'... GIT OUT THERE... swish around that floor. This is real boot-scootin' music.
She is such a talented beautiful singer and a real class act. I have loved listening to you sing since I first heard you on the radio! Suzy you are one of the best!!!!!
Just as sharp, crisp, and perfect as she always has been throughout her awesome career . Stayed true to everything Country. Thank you Miss Suzy Bogguss.
Always loved this song ..dammed story of my life ..straight out of the Regular Army early 1970s Vietnam era.. hit the circuit ..brings tears to my eyes remembering those blessed days and the love of my life Denise, in my seventies now .didn't think I'd make it this far ..Thank you Almighty God..
Originally written and recorded in 1963. Sixty one years have passed, and I am hearing more performances this year than last. Anyone wanna bet this will be performed in 2050? 2075? I believe so.
@ I don’t even listen to hickhop country anymore. Only a handful of artists are playing country music these days, most of them have went Hollywood. As Alan and George sang “country ain’t country anymore”!
Still sounds great just as she always has. Still Beautiful too. She just needed her flat brim hat and you would have thought you had traveled back in time 30 years. Great job Susie.
You've still got it, Suzy! ❤❤❤❤ Ian Tyson's Someday Soon is one of my two favorite songs that you perform. The other is Merle Haggard's Somewhere Between.
Love Suzy and wish her the best with her career. A little misleading on the date of this concert as the one guitar player has been dead for some time now! Burlington Bill busking on the road and here on You Tube.
Great cover of an Ian Tyson song from 1963. Usually sung by his partner Sylvia Fricker. In spite of the a American references of Colorado and California, Ian and Sylvia were from Canada.

💯. She was always very underrated in my book, good-looking lady with a great voice.
Good ol’ steel guitar and fiddle make this song great, but her singing voice is just beautiful👍🤠

I don't even listen to the radio anymore. Modern country just can't compete.
Suzy is Still one of the best singers of all time. Fill that dance floor up..with this one
"Fill the dance floor" is the ONLY disappointment in this... I see people with their feet swaying and toes tappin'... GIT OUT THERE... swish around that floor. This is real boot-scootin' music.
It’s belly-rubing slow-dancing music, cheek-to-cheek
She is such a talented beautiful singer and a real class act. I have loved listening to you sing since I first heard you on the radio! Suzy you are one of the best!!!!!

Man, the guy playing the pedal steel puts some unbelievable inversions and chromatics into his playing. Just phenominal
One of my all time favs' in the 90's and still today. Oh how I wish we could go back to that era of country music.

Clearer voice than most.
This must be an old recording because Jimmy Capps is playing guitar and he died in june of 2020. What year was this made?
❤
I love her version of this song. BTW who was that girl sitting next to Rhonda Vincent with the hat on? She looks like a young Lisa Marie Presley.
Ian Tyson!
Ian Tyson wrote this song. ❤
