- Hey, everybody, welcome back to another episode of Muddy Reviews. In this video, we are checking out the Krydex Flat pack, XL. This is the Krydex version of the Haley Strategic Flat Pack XL and is a decent interpretation of the Haley but still lacking, in my opinion.

I wasn't too thrilled with how this pack fit on my Ferro plate bags when paired with the Chest rig nor how it fit on my back it just didn't seem to sit right and seemed just a little too large for my liking but you might find my opinion to be completely off the mark and like it. It is spacious and will hold quite a bit of kit and is modular so that is a plus.
Overall I can't say I like the Krydex Flatpack and I can't say I hate it I would call it solid mid. There are far better options out there but also far worse so your mileage will vary. For me, I will stick with the Yote packs as I think they are more to my taste. Those are not stealth zippers, they are reversed for water resistance.

I was thinking about buying those for the longest time but seeing your review, ouch... I had a copy made by a canadian copy company (Shadow Elite/Shadow Strategies ) and it was crap.. like seriously ... like the buckles with the slot in it for putting the straps on or off.. were normal slip buckles snipped cut..... you could see the plastic being all white around the edges. So with that bad experience... your reviews... and fact haily is 3 times the price here....I might have to go with the agilite system.
I am heavily looking at the agilite myself. It looks like a really interesting system and even the real Haley wasn't amazing or special to me. I don't think I am much of a fan of all the zippers. Hope I may have saved you from dropping money you didn't too.
@@Muddy_Reviews Quite so, I also have the Qore back water bladder so that complicates things a bit for me, adds bulk on the back if I want to add anything else.
Agilite just came out with their back panel (think mini backpack) as well as their Assault AMAP 3 which isnt that new but looks interesting.
I have been looking at both the AMAP 3 and the Agilite Mini Map. I plan on getting a full Agelite kit soon.
@@Muddy_Reviews Yeah, another youtuber I follow (CAC) just posted a review of the IMAP and i am now very very interested in it, however still difficult to find here in the land of the north ;)

I like the chest rig as well, and I am using it on a repro of the Spiritus Thing 2 currently and it works well. I was bummed that I didn't like the pack but if it was a copy of the 2.0 I think it would have been great.
I have the Krydex rig and beat the crap out of it. Still going strong. I think for less than half the price of a Haley its a great buy.
@TheMikedtkd it's a solid piece, only thing I don't like is the Krydex flat pack. I think the Haley is considerably better and a more manageable size.
@@Muddy_Reviews Yea I agree on that part..Plus would much rather have the water-resistant zipper setup on the Haley. But for the price? Dang I'm a Poor boy and I'll take it! Great review BTW!
