Yes! It's so helpful. Even if you sell or print photos, it's useful for that too. Some printing companies have a specific colour profile they use so you have to be able to upload and preview it.
I'm very interested in your expert opinion as a good photographer. Do you feel it's more important to maintain a realistic interpretation of the good you photograph, or alter the image to look the most visually appealing? Thank you in advance for expressing your insights. 📸🌞
Great question! I think it depends on what you're shooting and where the image will end up. If it's client, editorial work or advertising, then I think you do need to have the most realistic interpretation, especially when it comes to colour. If it's for your creative exploration, do whatever your heart desires!
I'm kinda shocked that the normalize tool can be used within the same image. In my mind it was only used to normalize between multiple images, I gotta try this out lol
love that i can change minute colour grading via colour range ! I never knew about that tip about adjusting with those three little dots.. @@Twolovesstudio
Great video Rachel...I've been on capture one for a little while now and love it.....there aren't half as many as TH-cam tutorials for capture one as there is lightroom or photoshop....and then even less that focus on food, so thank you for this!
Yay, thanks Sarah I am so glad you enjoyed it. And I totally agree with you, that's why I have editing content in the pipeline for C1! X Thanks for the feedback. Let me know if there are any particular topics you'd like me to cover.
Yahoo!! Running over to my open editing session to play with the Normalize tool. Thanks for sharing Rachel!
Woohoo! It's such a helpful tool when used in the right way. Let me know what you think. I think would be awesome for your product shots.
I haven't shot a cookbook before, but when i do that Proofing trick is going to be so handy! Thanks for sharing these tips Rachel.

You're very welcome!
Is the normalize tool that much different than using the skin tool to make a color more uniform?
Yes they are different tools with different purposes. What do you use them for? Do you see results that work for you?
