Ian Hutchinson, 15 times TT winner was recovering from an horrendous broken leg and he said to his doctor that he wanted to compete in that years TT. His doctor replied " If you come off you're going to lose your leg". Hutchy replied " If I come of at the Isle of Man I've got a lot more to worry about than losing my leg".
Connor Cummings certainly had some luck that day, going over the edge, bouncing off relatively soft ground and missing the stone wall, my lord most of us would have retired at that point, i salute him for having the courage and mental strength to carry on. Not a motorcyclist myself, but these men are remarkable.

About 35 years ago me and some mates were mountain biking on the outside down hill slopes of Mt Eden a dormant volcano in Auckland city Aotearoa new zealand it has very steep slopes with small flat areas and then into the next down hill it's best to stop at the top and pick your line it's steep and very bumpy. We are standing there looking down with a few guys we didn't know and my best friend to this day goes flying past us airborne hits the ground about 40 feet down the slope bouncing hits the next flat bit sideways and airborne again he was out of control all the way to the bottom of the volcano but made it and these guys next to us one says THAT GUYS GOT BALLS THE SIZE OF COCONUTS😅😂😂 . Not true but he's fearless 😂
You should see sidecars in action in person 😳🤯🏁 . Worked at a kart track right beside a major track and they the craziest things I have seen in person !!
You should watch the Peter Hickman chin cam, where he does a complete of the Isle of Man track. He currently holds the average speed record at 136.5mph.
My parents would go to the Isle of man on holiday (my dad wouldn't fly to Spain) but it did mean that twice I was able to watch the TT this was I think late 1970s to 81/82 but the Great thing is that even though it's an elite sport it's not elitist so myself and my parents like lots of others walked around the paddock area looking at the motorbikes taking pictures of them and the riders it was brilliant loved every second and the other thing is that you will never see so many motorbikes in one place ever in the UK the road in Douglas both sides from the ferry terminal to the swimming centre was wall to wall of motorbikes all shapes and sizes I was in heaven and even though it was usually cold I always have fond memories of the Isle of man 🇮🇲🇮🇲🇮🇲❤️
When Conner Cummins crashed he crashed at a good place you see if he had crashed in the town part of the race he would not of survived the speed is not what ends your life it’s the sudden stop at the end. You see Conner’s body being thrown down the hill side was slowing down so the deceleration is what saved him and more than likely God’s hands were with him.
Been riding motorbikes for years and was once told by a older biker “ when the bike doesn’t scare you anymore when you give it all it’s got get rid of it because it will kill you “
@@HeywoodJahblowme he told me not listen to guys on the internet called jah blow me as he doesn’t like gay boys 😂but idc what you put your in your mouth have a good evening mate 😂👍🏻
I would redact myself from this type of situation and race it is terrifying. I have already been complicit in this. I don’t wish this type of thing on anyone. Not every race is worth it
Love it or hate it things like the TT are and always have been about pushing boundaries and limits. This is and only can be the way that Human kind has progressed to where we are now. If things like this are stopped then Humanity as a whole will stagnate and just die out with a whimper... Thats certainly not how i would want us to end.
they do that easily. The avg lap speed to win these days is 135mph. Thats the avg speed per 34 mile lap. Just got wrap your head around that... then think that once race day comes they do 6 laps.
The death toll is higher now, because this video is quite old They’ve also not given any figures out on how many people are still alive, but with serious life changing injuries normally they end up in wheelchairs. There’s no sand run-offs like in truck racing you hit stonewalls houses in certain places, trees, roadsigns metal railings
You are a naysayer....Every rider that goes out onto the Mountain Course .. The TT.. Knows the risks. They do it willingly. Yes this video is a few years old, yes some cannot ride anymore because of accidents. However, its all done voluntary. Noone pointing a gun at their heads to do it.
All motor biker racers know the risks. They love the adrenaline, it’s what they live/die for. Michel Dunlop is an example losing his father, brother and uncle to racing bike deaths. Michael still competes.
Up most respect to the TT.. BUT. I would rather watch the Southern 100 or some Irish road racing. The only reason too visit the island during the TT is for the sidecars.. ✌️
Errr, no, it's not safe. Neither is riding bikes. It's one of the reasons we do it. One could live life wrapped in cotton wool, but then you're already dead. Higher highs come with lower lows xx
Of course it is not safe. But where would the fun be if it was? IOM TT is the greatest race in the world for a reason. Because its insane and those that ride it do it of their own free will.
@@kevoss74 No of course not, It has nothing to do with me how others choose to live their lives. I was simply letting you know how dangerous the IoM TT races are.
Realize this is the ultimate race for your life. The most dangerous in all of humanity. With great price comes great prizes. If that is what you want. What is it you want? Do you want it bad enough?
Hey guys, you will find that the UK has a rich history in motorsport, If it has an engine, we will race it, from cars, bikes, even lawnmowers!.... 80% of F1 cars are made in the uk. th-cam.com/video/VJgdOMXhEj0/w-d-xo.html

Two weeks every year we have the most amazing people from all over the world ❤
And before some say they do it for the money. the price pool isn't huge even for 1st Place. so it is pure passion.
This is one of the best vids on the Isle of Man TT race. Good react folks, keep it up. All the best for Xmas and the New Year from Down Under.
You should watch Guy Martin ride wall of death he also used to ride in TT races
Guy Martin was in this video.
You should see sidecars in action in person 😳🤯🏁 . Worked at a kart track right beside a major track and they the craziest things I have seen in person !!
You need to watch the North West 200 road race, here in Northern Ireland. Happens every May just before Isle of Man TT.
You should watch the Peter Hickman chin cam, where he does a complete of the Isle of Man track. He currently holds the average speed record at 136.5mph.
Happy Christmas all thank you for your hard work reviewing these video's which most of us enjoy.

Joey Dunlop said, there's a grey blur and a green blur. I try to stay on the grey blur.
Its definitely not safe lol😂😂
I came here to see a reaction to IOM TT....instead I fell in love 😉
This is the spirit that built the British Empire.

6:29 Guy Martin is a legend. You should check out some of his world record attempts and documentaries, but you might need a translator 🙃
If it was safe they wouldn't be doing it.😅
Amen.. someone gets it.
His body looked like a ragdoll, he so very lucky, the human body is not designed to take that kind of abuse, amazing.

Note that their average speed is around 140 mph. However, they frequently reach over 200 mph on straighter parts of the road.
Real men in a real race.
Incredible! 😮
I rode a bike for years and did some crazy hi speed shit when I was young

No, it's not safe. 266 riders have died since 1911.
