Thanks for Watching 👍
A great variety of liveries and great to welcome a very smart-looking 66 651 to the scene. Sorry to lose the Tugs, but hopefully some of them will find further employment in another life.
Surly they won’t shunt all the Tugs on the scrapyard line. But would they sell them to another company!!!
@@arthurgrowler5749 If this helps, 12 are with Land Recovery UK and other operators are interested in them. There is about on the UK Rail Forums about this. It's worth a read.
Great locations Paul. The weather adds to the scene. 👍🏻☔
Fantastic video Paul, it looks like the day you went DB had taken over all the diagrams, was great to see shed 651 earning its kep, you certainly did a lot of moving around, and a shame the weather wasn't very kind to you.
Mainly drizzle in patches to be fair. Very wet up there at the moment and all the trees have grown back along the line after the bridge. Do like going to this location. 651 looked very smart out the paint shop 👌
Great video mate and nice to see 66651 out and about. I do believe that 66652 is due into traffic very soon if not already. Also Land Recovery UK has bought 12 Class 60's already with 60032 being prepared for collection from Toton that is among the first of them. Hopefully they will get another life with Progress Rail repowering program with the Caterpillar C175 as the power unit. This is what I have been reading on the forums. Wether it is real gen or not is another matter. Here is a like on the video mate.
Peter.
Cheers Peter
Interesting read. Hope they do get a new life again
Was at Toton yesterday and 66652 was outside in the front of the depot so will definitely ready.
Interesting video with working Class locomotives.
Good video Arthur :)
Cheers Simon 👍
Good catch with renumbered 66651, had to check my book though to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
🤣 think they plan to do around 10
You probably spotted more 66s in that session than you would see at Crewe or Stafford in the same time.
Hit and miss there sometimes
There was a lot of DB movements on this day. usually there’s abit more variety with GBRf & Freightliner
Excellent footage well done
What was 66651 in its past life?
Believe it was 66221
What modifications has 651 got
Regearing to give them higher tractive effort. They will replace the class 60’s .Planned to do around 10

Great video Arthur with different liveries on the 66s. Hope you have dried out 💦💦💦
Wasn’t too bad Norman just drizzle 🌧️ they were on & off all day. 66651 is on the Arpley to Tunstead if your about. Looks spotless
