I love Natty and MC's relationship so much. I loved how much they bonded, and especially since they were the two new (older) students at Hogwarts. I fr started tearing up when I had finished Natty's friendship line because I just loved her a lot... the way that Natty had instinctively jumped in front of MC to save them from the Crucio, and this action would help her resolve her guilt for her father's death... I loved how caring MC was to Natty visiting her in the Hospital wing (my heart melted at MC and Natty holding hands when I saw it in my playthrough). Dang, Natty is so underrated. I love her sm
Yes, I liked when our character touches her hand (mine is a girl) too. I even wished to show our character worrier when we come to visit her and kneeling in front of her and thanking her in tears
I have a theory. Since we are definitely getting a sequel. I bet we haven't seen the last of Harlow! Did anyone else find it VERY sus how Singer even with MORE than enough evidence and witnesses didn't arrest Harlow sooner? I suspect the "lady friend" Harlow mentioned when he blackmailed the guy who works at the clothes shop, was Singer. When it comes to blackmail, corruption and evil there is always a dirty cop mixed in to get their cut.
It also wouldn’t surprise me much if they brought back Victor Rookwood. I just finished that sequence and it felt so…anticlimactic. Whose to say he didn’t just disapperate? Besides, I think it would be an interesting call back to that comment from Slughorn about Lily Potter’s fish disappearing when she died. What if Anne’s curse disappears once Rookwood dies? And it hasn’t left yet, cuz he’s still around. I dunno maybe that’s just wishful thinking. He was just such a cool villain, and didn’t think his demise fit. There’s just so much they left open ended. They better finish the story!

But the fact that Harlow is still alive certainly opens up potential for him escaping Azkaban and coming back as an even greater threat than before. Maybe even finding some secrets of his former boss and restoring Rookwood's crime group, or building a new criminal syndicate of dark wizards. And indeed, the Sallow family story definitely has more than a few unanswered questions I'd love to see answered. Lots of stuff open ended indeed.
I think it is actually supposed to work like this, according to canon? Crucio can only be used in it's *true* form if the caster wishes to cause great pain and derives pleasure from doing so. Sebastian and MC did not want to hurt one another, so the pain must've been intense, but brief, and not unbearable. The curse that Natty took for us, however, was born from pure "suffer, bitch", so it caused real physical damage.

I had two thoughts about this. First, was already mentioned that the intensity of the curse could be connected to emotions and intentions of the caster. With the Sebastian/MC use of Crucio being the comparison to a truly dark and malevolent wizard. The second thought was that it hit Natty while she was transforming into her animagus form. Perhaps this put her in an extra vulnerable position being mid-transformation and caused more damage. If they do a sequel, it’d be interesting if her animagus transforming is negatively impacted from the curse.
Okay this comment is so funny because I felt like I was always more drawn to Natty even though the consensus was crushing on Poppy but Natsai was more interesting, level headed and in a sequel has more potential. 🤷
Natty would be _such_ a cool character in a _modern_ Hogwarts game. Maybe _after_ the events of the books. A game set in the 1890's? What the hell are the wizards and witches of Uagadou doing as the European powers carve up Africa? The further you get in time from the setting of the original books, the wider the holes in Rowling's world-building get. Still, this game _is_ ten kinds of awesome. Maybe the real lesson is to not get a degree in history.

The Meji Constitution - basically the foundation of modern Japan - wasn't signed until 1901: right when this game is set. As in, Kogawa would have left Japan while it was still technically a feudal society. While Japan _was_ aggressively embracing "western" ideas and technology during this period (keep in mind that witches flying on broomsticks is a European legend, which makes the use of brooms as vehicles a European thing and Quidditch a sport of European origin), the idea that there is an internationally-renowned Japanese Quidditch team based out of a town established barely a decade before the time this game is set in is ... remarkable enough that any discussion of it would include discussion of how the hell this happened. Of course, if this game were set after the events of the books, it would just be, "Oh, the new flying instructor's Japanese. Cool. At least they didn't call her something like 'Boon-Nam Ngam'"

the ending of Natty's arc wasted a great opportunity to show the protagonist using ancient magic to save her life which could be something of a moral conflict for the plot... Harlow using crucio instead of avada kedavra feels very forced and convenient considering his reputation as an unscrupulous killer
