There's no doubt about it Manuel Neuer had a shocker that lead to the goal. He threw the ball out in the lead up when he should of kicked it. He's 38 now and not getting any better. You could also say why did Tomas Tuchel take Kane of for the Asian defender You dont sacrifice a striker for a defender against a team like Madrid, if you want to win, you fight fire with fire. Think of it logically, if you have your opponents on the back foot all they can do is defend.
I was going to disagree with you for giving Tuchel a 5 but he earns it, with how he later covered the Vinicius situation; which I'm sure you noticed but didn't state. Then in the future I'd like you to consider using time to benchmark turning-point moments in a bid to track game-states. Anyways, Carlo has mastered the art of Adapting to games, I think tactically I get why you gave him an 8, but overall I'd give him a 9; just because of how he 'vibes' to a game in general.
btw great video. I watched the game with the eyes of a fan, therefore I missed most of the situations that you mentioned. This is something else, kept simple but very detailed, even without a good knowledge I was able to understand it. Nice job.
great analysis, but you completely missed the reason why bayern wasnt able to play as they did in the first leg. injured (some of them already prior to the game and Gnabry in the game) players had to play and were substituted (Gnabry, Sane, Kane, Musiala), while having no adequate alternatives on the bench. Imagine this with Vini, Rodrygo, Bellingham & Kroos for example. In total, bayern should have won the first leg and real deserved to win yesterday - in total a 3:3 after 2x 90 mins. This would have led to overtime, and there i would have expected the winning goal for real.
Tuchel gave the match away..He made an excellent substitution bringing in Davies it worked.then he gave up by wanting to park the bus very early on the game(75min).The thread was Vinicius. He had to delt with that and let the game play on.Taken off Harry kane was the worst decision.
In general I agree with this analysis but if it were not for Neuer's mistake, Bayern might have held on and it would be hailed as tactical genius from TT. As you say, it was more failure to execute from the BM forwards which was the reason they constantly didn't capitalise on the large amounts of space they had on the counter, rather than any tactical shortcomings.Had Kane and Sané been right on it, they could have had 3 or 4. But it's RM, that's what they do.
I said in the first leg that Ancelotti got to change his gameplan. And that's exactly what happened last night: Madrid completely outplay Tuchel's Bayern by giving Tuchel a taste of his own medicine. What's even bigger blunder is sell Pavard to Inter which this sort of game Pavard actually excels. What I meant with give Tuchel a taste of his own medicine is defensive phase Ancelotti uses similar gameplan that Tuchel used vs Arsenal last time. Arteta should've used Ancelotti's gameplan when facing Bayern few weeks ago. Start Zinchenko at left back. Zinchenko not starting causing Martinelli utter useless on the left. As a result, Bayern having bloody easy time covering Arsenal's left side while Arsenal have horrific time covering Bayern's right side
This new generation of Barcelona fans aren’t even Barca supporters, they are just Real Madrid haters 😂 they want to be against something more than to be for something
Madrid after 2nd half substitution is very dangerous every match They bring Modric for Kroos who runs in between lines where as Kroos is a stand and deliver guy Then comes Brahim for Rodrygo both comes with different game plays offensively if that's not doing the part Camavinga for Tchoumeni will unleash endless attacking in the opposite half. Kroos, Tchoumeni & Rodrygo are safe options defensively where as the supersubs Contributes more in the opponents half After the subs the game and formation are never the same and all that for their tired opponents to do is defend
Madrid is super underrated with their UCL 🧬 I know people hate and say they have luck 🍀. This club will own this competition since the beginning of Ucls. No club can truly kill them they are a fire phoenix with no going down even when losing.⚪️🔵 Amazing video love it! ❤
Lol. The RMA trolls in action. It was a stolen goal but honestly why bother with extra time just to let Real score more goals, as Bayern didn't have an attack anymore... Bayern played only for 87 mins but the game takes 90. Best of luck to Borrusia.
I think this is a great tactical analysis, but let's be frank they got away with it despite all of Carlo's tinkering. If Neuer doesn't spill that ball Madrid probably lose. I think Bayern defended digiliently. You also don't talk about Bayern's disallowed goal right at the end. Frankly Tuchel was too respectful to Madrid because the moment they started pressing them, they found some success. Kimmich can play as a right back, but that isn't necessarily his strongest position. Bayern needs to revamp that back line.
Also the goal wasnt disallowed, because the whistle was blown BEFORE the shot and Reals players stopped playing. So the shot was irregular to begin with.
Bayern lost the game as soon as they made those changes. Reminds me of the 2nd leg against Manchester City 2 years ago. Guardiola made overconfident changes such as taking Kevin De Bruyne off. Had no chance to get back in the game after that. Same as yesterday. Taking off Kane and Musiala had the same effect.
I never hated Barça. In fact, I feel sorry today. I feel like they're finished as an institution. They sold themselves to corruption, illegality and lack of self-love. On why Ancelotti wins as much, it is down to doing the good work in with a good squad. Basically weeding out the bad seeds[in the form of bad routine, behaviour, mindset]. Basically it is in getting the fundamentals, the elementary, right. Ancelotti is a master at that. That's why his work pays off quite well. When you've taken out all the weeds and plowed the field well, you get the good crop. And a fine crop they are.
The mistake from Neuer was the turning point. From 100 similat shots he will block/hold 98 shot. The mistake from ref when he called of de Ligt's goal was a big mistake.
That's why he should have managed his players better..... bring some after 50 min..... using all of them and then going full defensive is a failure of manager....I am sure you know how many injury problems Carlo had
I like Kroos, but nobody is on Modric level, this is the third game in the row CL, where Luka Modric comes in, at the result Madrid down, Modrić gets them back in the game!!!
Exactly. Madrid were sterile without Luka despite some brilliancies here and there, mostly by Vini. Luka comes on, and in the 20 minutes it’s three goals (one too easily disallowed) and a completely unplayable Real Madrid.
Kroos and Modric are not comparable as Modric has way more verticality in his playing whereas Kroos is the architect of Reals build-up play. Sure, you can discuss who was better in their individual role but it is a fact that there is no player even remotely comparable to Kroos on an international level (proof me wrong) whereas Modric might be a little bit easier to replace (e.g, Bellingham dropping deeper when Mbappe joins Real)
@@davidosPOV well, when Ancelotti was asked by Rio Ferdinand to make his own all time best team, he picked Modric but not Kroos. I’m not sure what do you mean by „international level“? Modric elevated Croatia to World Cup finalist, semifinalist (2nd and then 3rd place); 2nd place in the League of Nations and won this new Friendly tournament. Also, Kroos-led Real Madrid was almost harmless in the semifinals and quarterfinals: Madrid was losing against City and Bayern, looked toothless, but when Luka Modric entered Madrid became suddenly unplayable, totally outplaying and outscoring opponents. Modric also keeps setting records for Real Madrid: recently he topped Puskas‘ 60-year old record, and has the most titles with Real in history with Nacho (25 each). I could go on, but the conclusion is clear: Modric is a historic legend and no other midfielder from any generation exceeds him and his influence on the teams he plays for.

great video BUT...I'm fan of borussia dortmund and I so wanted to you to comment on their playstyle etc but it didn't happened, since they're in final I think you owe us some tactical analysis 😆
When bayen scored that first goal, tuchel should have kept kane musiala Davies on, as Madrid were forced to be even more aggressive they could have gotten excellent counters to extend their lead, but he decided to go defensive and his team crumbled 😂
You have to get all the information before you do a video like that. It would be enough to listen to the press conference after the game. All 4 of Bayern's attackers had to or demanded to be substituted because they couldn't go on. Gnabry, Sane and Musiala have been injured for weeks or months. Kane started with back problems until he could not go on and demanded to be substituted. That's exactly why Tuchel was sacked in the middle of the season: He said before the season that the squad was far too thin and in the winter once again. Instead of listening to the coach, he was sacked in the middle of the season and was even criticised harshly for not developing young players just before the semi final against Madrid. A TH-cam channel that analyses matches should take this into account and not ramble about weak decisions by the coach when he is usually not even able / allowed to completely fill the substitutes' bench during the season.
It annoyed me how some of the British pundits said Bayern were the better team. Yes Bayern were robbed of a proper goal potentially, Madrid dominated that second half and should have scored first.
The key to nullifying Madrid is to press Kroos incessantly. Giving him time and space to pick out long passes in insanity. I have no idea why Kane wasnt dropping deeper and Sane and Gnabry were dreadful. They should've stayed central. Tuchel is really terrible at tactically organizing a decent attack.
Because Bellingham would be free then. That's a player who can turn, run at the defense and score/assist. Really, Madrid's attack is multidimensional. They'll find a way.
Bro madrid controlled the pitch that day. Even I was like how tf are bayern leaving so much space. Leaving themselves open to overloaded counters on each side.

Madrid dominated bayern. They were Lucky they got Neuer because they didnt concede 3 or 4 goals and vini jr Just destroyed kimmich lol
true, but back in the first leg Bayern was dominating Real Madrid and shouldve won by 3 or 4 goals. I dont think its undeserved but people seem to forget what happened in the first Match.
No because if you watch the stats of 1st game bayern got 1.6 xg vs madrid 1.9 xg. The 2nd game yesterday real got 2.95 xg vs bayern 0.35 xg. So real Madrid deserved it in total xg. The 1st match bayern controled the game and the ball but didnt create much.
Could vini even do this against 2020 munich?? 😂😂😂 and the ref cooked us, good for vini but vini was in de ligts pocket 😂😂😂😂

Like I mentioned in your last video, many belittle and fail to see Don Carlo's wise tactical acumen. He simply showed all of you a Masterclass. Watch and learn. Hala Madrid! A Por la 15!!

thx for ur work bro!
Tuchel k´commented on the changes he did: Gnabry had a muscle injury, Kane problem with his Back, Sane is still not really fit, And Musiala had cramps. All did signal they could not keep on playing. That shouold explain the changes I'd assume.
No, that doesn't explain why he chooses to bring on Flop-Kim, Grandpa Choupo and Grandpa Muller instead of younger/more energetic players like Tel, Zaragoza and Goretzka. It's like going to hunt with a tabby cat while leaving the fiercest dogs at home, to paraphrase Mourinho
Apparetly Sane, Kane and Musialla were all substituted because of injuries or because they were too tired. At least thats what Tuchel said after the game
Why bring Kim on? Goretzka was on the bench.
Shoutout for Leverkusen defeated by Atalanta tactical analysis
"Real took a page out of arteta's pressing book". Seems like arteta heavily influenced the ancelottis (both carlo and davide) in their approach.
Sure did. The game against City away as well. Ancelotti did say he watched that game.
People blaming the referee are just bitter and pained that real madrid won. 3.5 xg to 0.3 xg, tuchel should be embarrassed of himself. He got destroyed tactically by carlo. These referee rants were made to divert the attention from the real problem, his football.
agreed.

As a Bayern fan
The way we played, We deserved to lose but the end moment was injustice for us which the linesman must explain
But Kim much dived on Nacho's goal so justice Bayern loses.
If you're gonna harp on that, Kimmich will have to justify his dive as well. Two can play the game.
There would not have been a linesman end moment if the referee had ended the game at 90+9 or even 90+11 as he visibly (V) signaled twice with his fingers. It's moot point.
@@Coach-rq6jx What dive??? Nacho has his hands in his face. He is just being stupid and that obviously a foul. Real won and advances to the final, its okay but whats the point of making things up?
@@Zidane7395 Then Bayern's players were offside and the linesman caught it quite well, and Bayern players and fans have no business claiming they can play on after the whistle was blown and Real Madrid players stopped the play. What now?
There's no doubt about it Manuel Neuer had a shocker that lead to the goal.
He threw the ball out in the lead up when he should of kicked it. He's 38 now and not getting any better.
You could also say why did Tomas Tuchel take Kane of for the Asian defender
You dont sacrifice a striker for a defender against a team like Madrid, if you want to win, you fight fire with fire.
Think of it logically, if you have your opponents on the back foot all they can do is defend.
Great analysis. Greetings from Chile!
Ancelotti Is A Genius With His Substitutions man
Vibes based tactics were successful
btw great video.
Excellent and very clear.
Nahh Madrid actually had the chances watch that second half
@@ay613 yes they had chances too, it could have been 3 or 4 the other way for sure

Why is Zinchenko not starting? Is he bad?

Madrid after 2nd half substitution is very dangerous every match They bring Modric for Kroos who runs in between lines where as Kroos is a stand and deliver guy Then comes Brahim for Rodrygo both comes with different game plays offensively if that's not doing the part Camavinga for Tchoumeni will unleash endless attacking in the opposite half.
Kroos, Tchoumeni & Rodrygo are safe options defensively where as the supersubs Contributes more in the opponents half After the subs the game and formation are never the same and all that for their tired opponents to do is defend
Terrific analysis

Lol. The RMA trolls in action. It was a stolen goal but honestly why bother with extra time just to let Real score more goals, as Bayern didn't have an attack anymore... Bayern played only for 87 mins but the game takes 90. Best of luck to Borrusia.
I saw City smoke them at the Etihad and Ajax teens clean them up, it's possible. Just have to be clinical, which Bayern wasn't.
@@dionis4everthey added more time just to let bayern score a goal. They coudnt
Madrid were always gonna score before that Davies goal Madrid were all over Bayern and even after tbf.
@ay613 Yeah, that was the plan they conceded possession to catch Madrid on the counter, which almost worked, had mistakes that did not occur.
Exactly. The moment I saw the substitutes I said deja vu.
I never hated Barça. In fact, I feel sorry today. I feel like they're finished as an institution. They sold themselves to corruption, illegality and lack of self-love. Barcelona is no longer a rival, they are not the best, not even in Catalonia (Girona). They are now less of a rival than Atlético de Madrid, as there is in fact a local rivalry. "El Clasico" was a rivalry invented by Catalonia's separatist media.
The intro is gold😂😂😂
7:42 Tuchel was reacting to injuries. Kane had back problems, Sané had to deal with pubic bone problems and Musiala had a knee injury.
That's why he should have managed his players better..... bring some after 50 min..... using all of them and then going full defensive is a failure of manager....I am sure you know how many injury problems Carlo had
Great video bro🤍
It was Vini who unlocked the spaces not Ancelotti
The simple truth is that the tactics don't work agains RM, if don't believe, go ask Pep.

He should've started the game anyway. Tell me, how is it not a terrible decision to take Sané off and replace him with a centerback? I'd bring on Tel if Sané was having a physical problem, but to add another centerback (who had a terrible first leg) with the game still far from over with one goal lead was a disastrous decision that costed him the game.

Tuchel style against madrid is to fight them with their own style. He gives them possession, hit them with counters, score, defend.

A TH-cam channel that analyses matches should take this into account and not ramble about weak decisions by the coach when he is usually not even able / allowed to completely fill the substitutes' bench during the season.
can you do leverkusen vs atalant uel final? I know it is a bit late but it would be a great video since gasperini's team played amazing

as a footballer myself im trying learn from this
It annoyed me how some of the British pundits said Bayern were the better team.
Could u pls make a video on Vincent Kompany and his tactics
if Kane not assist that goal his performance is very poor bad pass keep ball to long and sprint very slow when counter att
