Good questions! Based on my research over the years, I’ve seen that their SAs make about 1.5% commission on non-quota bags (but obviously I can’t confirm for suree since I don’t work there hehe). I’ve also heard quite a few people say accepting non-quota bags can delay receiving a quota bag, but I can’t say that for certain since I haven’t experienced it myself. Hope this is helpful 🧡

Well you can technically get one without spending, but instances of that happening are fewer and fewer lately. So not impossible, but also not very likely, you know?
I’m interested in a path that doesn’t involve working w the same SA over a long amount of time. I just don’t click well w most of them maybe because I take it personally when they don’t have the bag I want (not quotas so far but I did mention I wanted a birkin eventually and my assigned SA said she “didn’t know about that” without even hearing out the kind, only to never even allocate a mini evie for me). Never met one who I felt liked me and would go out of their way to make the visit fun and fruitful. I met one on vacation out of town and She was lovely (surprised me a a Pegase to go with my non quota bag in the colors I asked for) but I can’t imagine traveling just to hopefully maybe buy a bag. I’d be so bummed for it not to work out. Thanks for being honest about the last point, people online who get birkins act like bought a $700 pair of sandals or a scarf or something and they didn’t have to visit over and over again to prove themselves. well yeah I’d feel loved too if I didn’t have to troll a boutique to get the bags I want. I just get the vibe they don’t really care about my business except the gal in Vegas. my h says I should make Vegas my home store but we aren’t going to go 4 times a year to shop lol

Honestly I’ve got 5 offers from the boutique plus non quota bags and I will honestly tell you that I’m DONE! My last bags were from resellers and I will never go back to wait for offers in the boutique. Even if you end up finding an SA that you vibe with, they can still let you down at some point and you end up with money spent with no more offers. The thing is that right now they have nothing to do really to get clients. They are waiting at the door eager to buy everything. As soon as they get better spenders than you, you stop existing. Knowing what I know now and looking at the money I dropped at Hermès, I would NOT play that game again. I know how we want an offer from the boutique but it changes nothing about the bag and how we use it at the end of the day.
I totally hear this! If I didn’t like Hermes stuff (or stop wanting other things from there at some point in the future), I would 100% go all preloved market too. Luckily I do like their other stuff too, so for now I’m happy shopping both in-store and preloved 😊 Who knows if that will change though! You’re right-the bag is still the bag, no matter where we buy it 🙃
