Thankyou for this video Dr. Short, simple and clear explanation with no lengthy introduction or bullshit hehe. If you can make a treatment plan video or TMJ exercises that would be great helpful.
Mam I don't feel any type of pain on my jaw or ear area, only thing is that when I open my mouth more than a certain amount (approx 3 finger end to end), so there's a popping sound on my left side. It's been like this for years now... So, can you pls tell me what's the reason or is there anything serious to worry about at the moment???
As of nw nothing to panic abt since u have no symptoms such as pain. But it would be best if u can consult an oral Medicine and Radiology specialist in regard to the same and take a TMJ radiograph view to confirm the diagnosis. Based on dat treatment plan can b dealt with. Pls beware when opening ur mouth wide open while yawning so as to avoid the lock jaw effect.
Mam mujhe sirf mouth opening k time right side k jaw k pass tightness feel Hoti h or mouth ki full opening nhi ho pati Khana khate time .. or to koi problem nhi h ...ye achanak se hi ho gya ...to kya ye tmj ki problem h
Check for left temporal muscle tenderness.if tender, advised to take muscle relaxants for a week. Also consult a neurologist to rule out any migraine or cluster headache issues.
These measurements allow us to assess the face for occlusal plane canting, ramus asymmetry, and midline discrepancies of the skeleton and the maxillary and mandibular teeth. These measurements give a good assessment of potential fossa ramus deficiencies from a disordered temporomandibular joint.
Position of the clinician is also important. So please include that also

Yes its Tmj problem. But very common one. Please consult a oral medicine /TMJ specialist
Please explain the results of the examination like abnormalities
If any abnormalities involved, Patient will report tenderness, clicking and deviation
TMJ inflammatory cases -Tenderness(arthritis cases)
TMJ clicking(articular disc problems)
TMJ deviation -Ankylosis.
