Collie is fake, I feel so sorry for you. 😭The real one ver. has "©2005 Hasbro China". Also the white paint of the bottom of the head in fake fades out, but on the real one it doesn't. Also auth ve. has red magnet. But he's cute and well-made fake though. 💞
Also not to mention the forehead stripe thing isn’t the right shape at all

Comparing to the authentic the body goes up more than the authentic and the head looks smaller. When you have an authentic collie the molds will look the same as each other this is not the case with this pet. The ring under the head is not as defined as it normally should be. I say the lps is fake because of those reasons. Also the authentic version is supposed to have a magnet. Hope this helped!
The neck ridge on the collie isn’t prominent at all.. I’m rather sure the collie is fake 😢

Like everyone else has said the 272 is unfortunately fake. One trick with collies is the plastic seam line. Authentic collies have a seam running down the sides of their body, but most fakes have a seam line on the front of their bodies. Front seam always means fake, but side seam could be real or fake, I have a fake with a side seam, but I see them a lot less often. At least you didn't pay hundreds for it :')
Also two other things real quick that may help in the future
1. That cocker spaniel wasn't released with a magnet, are you sure the other pets you got her with were the original ones she came with? (boston terrier, sitting shorthair, and skunk) it just looks like the hole got scratched up. I accidentally melted part of that same spaniel's hole once with acetone and it looked similar 💀 there are also a ton of fakes of that spaniel with red magnets so maybe you've seen them a lot?
2. There's a ton of fakes of that collie with red magnets so unfortunately a red magnet doesn't guarantee it's real. I don't know if you're in facebook groups at all, but my friends and I run the authenticity and worth one and I have a complete list of what magnet/hole every main five was released with if that might ever help!
Unfortunately I do not think the 272 is real :( his neck ridge is very flat and although some pets do have flatter neck ridges i do believe this one is too flat to be authentic.
Also regarding the magnet being ripped out I do not think this is the case for the 272 because it is a perfect circle.
I think it's fake :( Besides the hole, the head looks smaller than the real collie and there is something off with the neck area.
The fake savvy next to him gave it away to me tbh, if you saw her she looked like one of the really bad ones lol
So disappointing. I could tell just from the thumbnail they had listed it was fake.

It looks like someone may have ripped the leg out or it fell out but also sometimes lps come with different things on the foot that they aren't supposed too so it's hard to tell but it looks real and I've had that collie before and it was authentic it looked just like that but with the magnet so I think it's real
unfortunately it is fake :< i have that one it does look like a pretty good fake I was almost convinced, but comparing it to mine the biggest factor is def the neck ridge !! the airbrushing on the body is pretty neat tho
I bought 273 not so long time ago, but previously I was watching for lot with cursed 272 collie. I was willing to devide payment, me for 273 and entusiast for 272. The offer for 60$ with silvanian and fake accesories was really crazy, but someone bought anyway. Her value differ from 2017 price, because of collie in this set who became famous lps last years.

Unfortunately there are some fake 272's with red magnets aswell.. I have one myself. I have found that the authentic 272 is a lighter shade of yellow than the fakes, his eyes are also a lighter green. I understand how disappointing this is, I hope you can get the real 272 collie soon Maddie.. :c

Honey the collie is real! look at the paint details in his nose, fake collies use to have a tiny nose because of its painting, just like the other collie, I can tell by experience. Besides, I have a Lot of authentic LPS that must had a magnet but they don't. Trust me, that collie is authentic, so do not use him for customizing or anything :)✨
I'm so sorry but the collie is fake! This happens a lot to collectors but the collie looks too flat to me and the neck ridge doesn't look real!
You should report it because that'd a complete scam I'm so sorry that happened! Many people could also fall victim of that scam :( I'm so sorry again
I have the exact same cocker spaniel and she has a small chip on her foot but I searched other pictures of her they don’t have magnets and they are authentic and then I searched for pictures of the other three pets that came with the set and I found one picture of them and they didn’t have magnets either so I don’t know what the deal is about that set

100% fake, sorry Honey! You can always tell a collie is fake when they look very short, have a "baby face" almost, and look perfect condition with a sort of squished head

the collie is fake honey :( u can tell by the bottom of the head, it isnt raised whatsoever and if u look closely the collied eyes look sort of printed on... its the best fake ive seen of him tho!! i hope u find him someday!!
the head and the body being two different shades is also a good indicator

collie is probably fake :/ also considering there are other obvious fakes in the photo you showed from the seller you bought the collie from, I would've immediately assumed it was fake and not even tried my luck - sucks that they wouldn't clarify in the item desc and essentially scammed you :(

I think the collie may be authentic,the paint job and print is nice, it's the accurate size of the authentic collies, and i believe at some point in time Hasbro actually did- come out with different variants of the g2 lps which could possibly explain why it doesn't have a magnet but that's just my opinion if it is- fake at least it looks great 👍
