I hope they release these prototypes as designs since hasbro is now talking about growing profit and making littlest pet shops again. They will team up with basic fun (who made the 80s version of my little pony) to make them too! So we will see if we have the old versions back
What I find interesting is on the Blythe boxes a lot of the pets look completely different than the pets they actually come with like for example the Husky Blythe is sitting down but on the box she’s standing up and on the London set there’s a different lizard which I think they have made but I haven’t searched yet on the box 😮and that’s just two examples at the top of my head
There is also a mystery pet (suspected prototype) of a cocker spaniel which I find particularly interesting. There was never an official release of pet number 757, but if you research there is official hasbro art showcasing a cocker spaniel which looks incredibly similar to lps 748, the only difference seems to be the eye markings. Lps 748 has cuddliest eyes, whereas the mystery 757 has sportiest eyes! My theory is that it was going to be released as a variant, but it never was. Meaning there is no official release of lps number 757. A lot of people in the community have also created customs much like the prototype of 675.
Omg, I have 748 and I swear my friend had one exactly like it, but one of the eyes was... odd. It had a normal left eye, but then the right eye must have been a misprint or a factory error because it was missing an eye marking/eye shine.
I remember being sooo confused when I found the spider without her teeth in stores! I'm pretty sure the prototype was even in the LPS magazine, which is where the baby brook french card thing may come from. I still have all my magazines from LPS, i'm sure there's a ton of interesting stuff in there since it showcased pictures of some of the pets. Other than that, that video is just amazing!! diving into LPS prototypes is fascinating, thanks for putting so much care into that 💗
you are missing so many prototypes but also have found so many i haven’t seen! Lps collectors like ElmosCollection PetShopShoop LPS_SweetDreams and HuntressLPS have multiple mystery pets and prototypes shown on their account you have not seen
Thank you so much for making this video! I find prototypes and mystery pets so interesting and it's really hard to find information about them. The prototype panda at 10:33 is so pretty, I wish hasbro released it. I distinctly remember seeing a video about a prototype of lps 1853 where its base color was purple instead of pink, but I'm pretty sure the video got deleted. I also remember seeing a version of lps 2526 that was yellow instead of blue on some lps collecting website like lps merch but I might be misremembering about that.

I am suprised to say I own two of these prototypes, they were mailed to me by the company when i was little as some type of promotion, i own a panda and a spider and maybe some other ones, some of my rarer lps are with my little sister

I own the prototype of the #1310 turtle from the turtle and bunny friendship pack. Mine has the normal turtle eyes with a tin stripe of pink over them. The fun part about that is that the turtle is the only lps I still have from my original collection I had when I was 10.
I've actually planned on doing this for a while! I really want to get my hands on more booklets, old packages, etc and go through to see if I could document anything undiscovered.

prototypes can actually be found from the factory sold by employees, on taobao and resellers on aliexpress and other chinese marketplaces, but with all the fakes it’s hard to find lps prototypes specifically. with dolls it’s much easier.
Hi there! I’m curious...I had corgi 1864 (got it new in box) but I swore it was cream colored like in the prototype image and even had freckles. I could be totally confused since it’s been years since I’ve had it, but could I have gotten a potential variant?....😅 I could be totally wrong.

So little theory if Brooke prototype was her actual design. So if brooke design was a little kitten probably we have a Brooke backstory and the Brooke old teen version is little Brooke prototype older version and when Savannah sees here new look she got a makeover to and probably savannah got the makeover idea from her. Also when say Brooke makeover I meant she got a new fur color

Hi! Idk if you’re interested in some of the newer generation pets or not, but I know there are arctic foxes named Lulu Foxley and Reynard Foxley, both of them have prototypes. They’re original design gave them silver underbellies but the released ones were all white.

(I think thats the number) I remember seeing it on ebay awhile ago. If you wanna see the listings search "lps prototype" on ebay! Edit: I recently found out in the back of the packaging on lps 1468, it shows that cat but with sticker eyes! It's werid because that cat has normal eyes, not the sticker ones. Idk I just found this really cool lol

I’ve had a prototype on Amazon it said I would get a baby of #26614 and an adult Verison of #26614 and it gave me a baby one only I did eventually get the real adult one it’s amazing! 4:49
lps 1542 and 1543 just looking in one of the pamphlets I decided to keep.. I saw 1542 in the pamphlet and I thought of how pretty that collie was so I looked her up and the difference between the pamphlet collie and the actual one is that the very top of her head is super brown to where it's more noticeable and her eyes look like sticker pet eyes and they're facing the side instead of forward. then 1543 had a purple swirl on it's head instead of dots and the wings look more teal than blue. this topic is rlly cool I'm going to look more into it.
I can not be the only one that noticed in the tube set of 3 lps, #64 along with a frog and an exclusive bird, if u turn the tube the other way around u can see a picture of lps #64, frog and the bird. If u look closely u can see that the shorthair’s tip of the tail is air brushed in black and her eyes r like a bright colour pink, and if u see her by herself she fully painted white without any air brushes on her or her eyes even being pink!
The fact that most of these could possibly count as physical lost media intrigues me, WE NEED TO FIND THE SHORTHAIR CAT WITH FUZZY EARS, WE NEED TO FIND HER, WE NEED TO START A MOVEMENT, THE SMOL BEAN NEEDS OUR HELP.

I saw 1542 in the pamphlet and I thought of how pretty that collie was so I looked her up and the difference between the pamphlet collie and the actual one is that the very top of her head is super brown to where it's more noticeable and her eyes look like sticker pet eyes and they're facing the side instead of forward. then 1543 had a purple swirl on it's head instead of dots and the wings look more teal than blue. this topic is rlly cool I'm going to look more into it.

I can not be the only one that noticed in the tube set of 3 lps, #64 along with a frog and an exclusive bird, if u turn the tube the other way around u can see a picture of lps #64, frog and the bird. If u look closely u can see that the shorthair’s tip of the tail is air brushed in black and her eyes r like a bright colour pink, and if u see her by herself she fully painted white without any air brushes on her or her eyes even being pink!
The fact that most of these could possibly count as physical lost media intrigues me, WE NEED TO FIND THE SHORTHAIR CAT WITH FUZZY EARS, WE NEED TO FIND HER, WE NEED TO START A MOVEMENT, THE SMOL BEAN NEEDS OUR HELP.
