Woah, wait. So you're telling me that not only this amazing track happens to be a present to me, but that it's also the first composition of yours to be recorded with your new stuff? Gee, you sure got a way to make a fella feel special! It's pretty amazing to see how different your music sounds with your new recording device. I never really put much attention into new quality when it comes to musicians that I listen to, considering that it already sounds fine as it is and all. But you know what? Listening to this arrangement made me realize how important upgrading your gear can be. I wouldn't say that it's a priority, especially when the musician is doing it right like you are, but man does it make a difference once you get to listen to it. Everything sounds so much smoother, it almost seems like a new musician altogether. Regarding your choice of themes... It simply scares me. I have no idea how you even managed to guess so accurately, considering that I don't remember mentioning the subject before. This is spot-on; Ghostly Eyes just so happens to be my second favourite Stage 1 theme after Deep Mountain, while Mooned Insect also happens to be one of my favourites. Is this the frightening power of the legendary Accordionist? The world may never know. As for the arrange itself... It's absolutely breath-taking. I think that it has something to do with how innovative you tried to be with this one, because it seriously shows. It feels like many songs in a single composition, and well, it's technically true. I always liked when musicians blend different themes together with traditional instruments like that; it feels more impressive than the Electro variety if you ask me. ...Though that's probably just me being a traditionalist, eh. In any case, what more is there to say? Ah, why, of course; My thanks for the gift and the wishes, my good man. I sincerely appreciate it.
I first planned to do another song with this stuff before that one, but after thinking about it, I wanted some element of surprise for this video, since I guess you were seeing the birthday video coming. I think I wouldn't have been able to play this one without this new recording device. It really makes the different when it comes to play subtle things. When I didn't have it, I was sometimes restricted in my choices, for exemple because the basses were often too loud. So I had to adapt myself to these restrictions. In a way I don't regret it because it pushed me to try other things and perhaps I wouldn't have improved like that otherwise. But now I feel like I need some change, so I'm really pleased to have bought this stuff. Hehe, I guess I spent enough time on your channel to know how your tastes work, my dear. And making this arrangement based on what I thought your tastes were was quite an easy task, if I may say so myself. I even did some improvisation when I recorded it (mainly in the counter-melody). And yes, I tried a lot of new things, I mean, there's so much new things to do, that's quite exciting! As if I had reached level 20 and finally used a Master Seal. ... Hmm, I really should think about arranging some tracks of _that_ game, one day... And eventually... Thanks for listening and for commenting, my good sir. PS: Thanks Marisa for advising me on the picture~
I actually put some reverberation at the end, I didn't want to put a lot of it everywhere because I don't want it to become too generic. Thanks for the encouraging words man!
Just binged watched most of your videos... primarily your Touhou ones. You got great talent man :). Not many people can arrange themes so well. You just made another die-hard fan, look forward you your next upload. And new sound recording sounds good :3 have fun!
Saw your new upload while I was playing my accordion! I think Your mixing actually isn't bad, and what a brilliant idea you've executed taking advantage of stereo sound with different recording on either side. However, I feel this new format of music you're releasing calls for higher quality than TH-cam's encoding, and would encourage you to start a website or get a file sharing account of some sort for downloads to the uncompressed / high quality files (if you'd want to do that for free, obviously your call). But hey, I'm not sure what kind of video recording equipment / software you have but I'm sure everyone else wouldn't mind seeing a window / panel view of the different recordings you did as they were going on (i.e. show all of the recordings at once synced with the music). Either way, great work and looking forward to more of your experimenting in this regard!
Haha, I hope you enjoy playing your accordion! Yes, I must admit I quite enjoy myself with the stereo sound. About the quality, I'll certainly upload the next arrangements on soundcloud as well. And yes, the actual recordings will be back, but for now I really want to learn how to properly mix the sound and focus on that exclusevely. So there will probably be a few other videos without recording in the near future. My thanks for listening! Take care.
Something different from the usual... A great one that is. This piece made me nostalgic for whatever reason. =w= Forgot to put this before. Edit : typos+grammar
Clean precise sound, and it seems like you got rid of that awful echo that plagued a few of your other videos :D Granted, I miss seeing the actual accordion. It's one of the things I like about your videos "he's actually playing that!~" But, I can appreciate the sound. Good work!
I'm quite glad to see that the new quality went down well. I want to focus exclusively on the sound now, but I'll put the videos of accordion again when I'll feel more comfortable with the sound mixing. Thank you for listening!
Then you should definitely go check his channel too! He uploads very good music, mainly traditional/folk. and his descriptions are like a transcription of a beautiful pic, really artistic and full of feels... uh. I got a bit carried away, uh? sorry. well, his channel is supercuccosaiyan, in case you are interested ~
The difference in the sound is, undeniably, hearable. With every improvement comes a change, and the thought of a change is, always, no matter what the circumstances are, scary. Maybe it's because of the fact, that we should respect what took us into a place where we are standing now, and the change seems like an act of disrespect? Hah, of course, there's no way I would know, yet "leaving things behind without truly abandoning them will be just laughed away", right? As for the arrangement itself, it certainly sounds nice, but maybe is it because I'm not a big fan of Ghostly Eyes and Mooned insect that I don't like it *that* much? I think it's because I'm truly in love with the new minimum electric design's album, and I'm just so blinded by its greatness that I almost can't truly think of anything else as god as it is. Ah, my, I'm talking (more like writing) for way too long, and it's mostly about stuff that don't even relate to your arrangement or channel in general at all! Yet, if I want to write lyrics, I need to know how to write a lot. Maybe not in this fashion, though, still - writing is writing. As it always is with music, you can write and write and write, "but, what kind of meaning this all would have then"? You can talk and talk endlessly about it, but no matter what words you'll use, it'd be never enough to cover your feelings entirely, so here, at last, my boring monologue ends.
Well, I guess our fear of change comes mostly from our education, from how we "should" behave in society and have a stable life. Ah, I can't blame you for that. Falling in love with a track or an album can be quite blinding indeed, hehe. Well, even if it wasn't because of that, it's mainly a matter of taste. It's actually quite interesting to see how people react differently to each upload. So you plan to write lyrics? Good luck with that in any case! Perhaps some great writers can claim to be able to cover their feelings with words. But that's certainly not my case. And that's why I make music instead. My thanks for listening and commenting. Take care.
Yes, fear of not being accepted is, without doubt, paralyzing to the degree, in which we choose to not change, if that change is not that much needed, of course. And yes, I do! Even though, as you pointed out, it's nothing but a "plan". Even so, my accuracy rate in getting what I want is 100%, so that's just a matter of the time, fufu. Those who claim they can, by any means, whether it's music or text, convey an emotion perfectly, are either liars or a very, very ignorant type of person. Take care as well, fufu.

Sounds awesome! You should try fiddling around with some reverb for more epicness and power. Nice bass too man. Great microphone : )

Thanks for the encouraging words man!
beautiful track, it reminds me of taking a walk a couple hours before sunrise
Lovely piece of work.
Pretty solid for being your first piece using new toys. Great work, as always.
this is really majestic...... Please do more covers like this 😍 I would love to hear more covers in this kind of style
Thanks! To be honest I like trying different styles but there certainly will be other arrangements of this kind in the future.
