Koishi Prismriver Hmm alright. So do you like record one track of main chords or something and then base the timing off of that via headphones? I myself recently bought a Harpsichord and I wanna try to make something with it but I can't even play with a metronome lol
Basically yes! I don't think I would be able to do that without headphones, especially if the song has a lot of tempo changes like this one. I think a lot of practice is also needed. Sometimes I spend like an entire hour just for a few notes because it's not exactly as I want.

I do not know how you do it, but you manage so strike certain chords with all of your arrangements, create emotions more vibrant than most other music could, and I really love this channel, look forward to every upload, because I can be sure that It will be of quality! ZUN really went full experimental with HSiFS, and I like it. Lots of different styles and odd chords with just the right amount of familiarity to make it feel Touhou-ish. I hope he'll give these new styles another shot in the next game. The Concealed Four Seasons is a hard one to say. Obviously doesn't compare to the last two games' final bosses, but I still think it did the job right. Fact that it has hints of Necrofantasia is interesting. Maybe Sages share that chord, who knows. I'm digging this arrangement. Feels different, just like HSiFS did. Has that certain trickster yet powerful vibe to it, which I think fits Okina like a charm. Koishi Prismriver While there ones who simply prefer the older ones over the newer ones, the ones that bash and hate are the simple-minded "genwennurs"(or however you spell that) of Touhou, which is sadly in practically every type of community as far as I've seen. In Touhou's case though, I haven't seen much of these type of people throughout the years, and they are in a minority (even then, they're still very vocal and quite hard to ignore. TH-cam especially attracts these people, this website's terrible community in general and whatnot). More often than not, I see them react rather negatively to it, and then after listening to it for a while, come to love it. Not to say that they'll like every piece, of course.
this song has such an otherworldy beauty to it. it sounds like it was made by a cosmic being trying to replicate the beauty of the somber streets of paris. its outstanding. everytime i listen to it, it gives me such strange feelings, but good ones

I've seen that mostly in some comment sections. Perhaps not a lot as I said in the description but I saw enough to remember them. I said I perfectly understand why they feel like this because ZUN's style changed quite a bit. Not that it's a bad thing, I like to hear how his music evolves, but I also understand that some people don't like his new style.
A lot of people have commented about it in some videos with the OSTs of some of the newer games (if you check Okina's theme here on TH-cam you'll probably find people complaining in the comments), but I think it's mostly because they try to compare the new songs with the previous ones he has composed, and since ZUN has some pretty memorable songs that people have almost worshiped, they can't appreciate these songs for what they are without comparing them. It's like they want every new song to be the next "Bad Apple", "U.N. Owen was her?", "Doll Judgement", "Necrofantasia", etc. otherwise ZUN will be "losing his touch".
So in other words People have too big expectations And then they super dissapointed rather than than "didn't like it but still respect him no matter how he changed"
