I don’t mind the long and tedious video on this bodywork, the details are very helpful and by drawing it out longer it really helps. Great video and techniques, thank you.
When you started this project, you mentioned a device you were going to use to keep track of hours. Just wondering how many hours you have in this project at this point. Profection does take time. I'm hoping that 428CJ is as detailed in the engine bay when done as the exterior paint will be. This is going to be an awesom car when done and a wonderful tribute to Charles.
I only tracked hours for the construction phase. This part is more of a set price situation. Charles bought all the primer ahead of time so that helps a lot.

That oil caning is exactly why I use a shrinking disc on my panels now and I skim coat the panel in question of low spots
Good information......thanks.
Great video. Can't wait for the next one.

Brilliant teacher, no different here in Australia the falcon door gaps and panels never lined up even body moulds. thank you for sharing, Sir.
Excellent idea on making the door and fender edge line up better. 🙂
Outstanding job Barry

That's a lot of sanding, and I'm paying close attention. Thanks
This is not for the impatient. My professor taught me that in body shop school, I owe him a lot. 😊

Nice work. Oh how I am not looking forward to all that dust again though.

Nice work. Love these sort of videos. What do you do if you accidentally break through down to bare metal? Good stuff.
I spray self etch primer on those spots then more high build.
@ Do you just use the spray bomb etch?
Yes. SEM brand
