Could be that the Ultimatrix 'fixing' the unitrix is cause they're similar devices, so the effect is more of a 'reboot' that purged the foreign dna data than any direct genetic damage Like the human form she takes is the default for that device, like how ben's human form his the default for his trix devices, so he purged the dnalien out of the device and rebooted it to default rather than a repair genetic damage function

To be fair Eunice is kind of a unique case, she didn't really get "cured" so much as she got reset. The Ultimatrix was used to sync and repair her core.

On paper, they did a lot of ideas I think were great (the Undertown, Plumber HQ...), many of which I had wanted to see done for a while (visiting planets inhabited by other aliens). In practice, though, I feel like they waaaaay too often rely on goofy, cartoonish Earth stereotypes that weren't alien enough for my tastes. In particular, I *really* didn't like their take on the Anur system, where they had all the Anur species shoved on Anur Transyl only instead of showing us the various planets, and portrayed the whole place as a stereotypical Halloweentown - completely forgetting these are just aliens who happens to look like monsters, *not actual horror monsters* . Similarly, alien civilians often are despicted following these very human stereotypes and wearing human clothes or having human behaviours (Pax being a stereotypical hippy) which I feel really doesn't fit. Plainly put, I feel like OV seems to often forget that *these creatures are supposed to be aliens* . And not even gonna get into their take of magic, where they had Bezel be an old idiot who dislike magic because "it has no rules".... even though magic in this setting *absolutely has rules*, otherwise Gwen and Charmcaster would just be able to do whatever the fuck they want.
I feel like if we followed the idea you suggested in Simian's last appearance, where we keep the lost prince concept but he's still a crook and con-man who perhaps betrayed his own people, it would have been interesting to see Simian return to his world and his people, and present the conflict that maybe he does still care for them, but for whatever reason went down the path he is on now. But of course no one believes him, creating a boy who cried wolf situation.
Something that I would like to add to your point about the Ultimatrix curing the arachnachimps: I never tought Swampfire curing Eunice was because of the same reason why Ben could cure the DNAliens during the war. I felt like it was something similar to the beginning of the episode where Ben got timed out of Terraspin because Eunice was nearby, at least to me.
What I enjoyed about the episode is when Ben turned into Ultimate Spider Monkey which is a neat call back to the AF finale where an evolved alien beats the base version
The standard issues people have with Omniverse tend to be overblown. The story arcs are solid and Rook is an excellent main character. The writers like the two idiot Galvans too much though, there’s a whole episode about them trying to get to a Mr Smoothy and you just want them to do what the plot needs then go away. Azmuth must have foisted them on the Earth Plumbers as a joke or to get rid of them.
Honestly I agree with on Eunice, she's really a interesting concept for the show, but they never used her, sadly it's always the case with this franchise forgetting the rest of it's characters
Or like Gwen's brother from that one episode of Alien Force, that's the thing that bothers me is the franchise is forgotten characters or dropped storylines.
Her ability to copy animal abilities could have made her unique in combat situations, or she could have become a supporting character for Azmuth such as being diplomatic when he’s not.
I think importance should be a 1 because it confirms that Simian survived his last encounter with the Highbreed and he becomes a reoccurring minor villain in Omniverse
My understanding with the ultimatrix and it's curing thing was this: It knows in theory how to cure, but it simply doesn't hold enough energy (even when 'full') to be able to do that. It knows how to do it because we know it was originally synced to the original (for example the ultimatrix only giving albedo access to Ben's aliens, the ultimatrix recognising Ben's voice, etc), demonstrating it does have the 'software' required for the process, but it doesn't have the hardware. This could also be why the ultimatrix uses an 'energy' system for it's transformations whereas the original Omnitrix was supposed to be a set 10 minutes (when working right). It could simply be the ultimatrix has significantly less operating energy than the Omnitrix. Eunice saying the ultimatrix could never do it may be alluding to the ultimatrix never being designed with a high enough energy capacity to be able to cure the xenocytes. And the ultimatrix 'curing' Eunice i always just viewed as the ultimatrix doing a force restart on her since she returns to her core form.
Ben didn't cure her,I think that he sincronized her with the Ultimatrix in order to return her to her storage form and then the unitrix reoaired the code by itself

I actually really enjoyed this episode! The DNAliens comeback as as a rogue alien parasite is on a different species is interesting. I don't think their take over is too out of the blue either since the highbreed intentions were to set the planet up to be exterminated, not infected. So the xenocytes potential was likely curbed by their master until masaru got his hands on one he probably knows the ins and outs of his homeworld better than any invader would. Now they're just naturally unhinged and animalistic. I guess the spider monkey homeworld could have been interesting, but with all the dull blue dessert areas, building sized trees with looming bridges between is visually appealing enough, especially with how the groups goes about traveling. As for Simian, his scumminess was preordained in his first appearance, and the situation was understandably stressful since masaru was out for him in particular. His willingness to put himself on the line did more for his character than the last one might've. Though him having a scar from last time would have been nice. Given how the ultimatrix couldn't cure albedo, it not having a genetic repair makes well enough sense until they forget the rule.
For me, not that bad of an episode and pretty rewatchable. Eunice and Simian are always interesting and the Spidermonkey gangster boss Mizaru was also cool.

Should be cool, but just isn't I'm afraid. - I'm not surprised the Ultimatrix doesnt have the genetic repair function, given how its built. But would rather it just say "Error!" upon Ben's command then. - Mizaru was ok. He mainly stands out in my mind as to looking more as an in between of Spidermonkey and his ultimate. - I digged seeing the Dnaliens again. The best way i could describe it is if you let the Xenocytes run rampant enough, without something like the Highbreed's predjudices getting in the way.
0:28 it did on earth not on Aranhascimmia which likely operates more lazily than earth does
Nobody gonna see that Ben's football shirt design is uniform of galvans and unice (also her grandma wore this design)
For me, not that bad of an episode and pretty rewatchable. Eunice and Simian are always interesting and the Spidermonkey gangster boss Mizaru was also cool.
And Bens final fight with Mizaru was cool too with Ben going Spidermonkey and then Ultimate Spidermonkey
@@axelnilsson5124 but mizaru not having a reaction at all to ultimate spider-monekey is disappointing and adds to how the ultimate concept was underutilized
@@Mohamad-m7md we can just blame the xenocite queen for the lack of reaction like sure Mizaru claims he controlled it but did he really? Since he doesn’t even attack them after they’re cured
Hm, fair and valid points and opinions, i will look forward to see what you think of future Episodes.
Honestly I would have put Visuals at a 2. We don't get jungles that often so it looks nice
All i remember about this episode Is how the main bad guy guets eaten
This one deserved a full breakdown. Not as much as the previous one but still did.
I literally watched this episode, last week on Friday I think so 5 days ago
On the subject of ultimatrix curing, I do have a lil headcanon. Obligatory "only speculation", I always thought it could've been a reverse of what Eunice was doing to the ultimatrix, where Ben did something with the big green beam that reset Eunice. Now why that got rid of the Xenocyte too, I'm not sure. Just wanted to share a bit of headcanon
I expected that the ultimate spider monkey and king fight would’ve taken better but well and oh right this could’ve been a natural predator for the arachnichimps
Mizaru was beatin the crap out of ultimate Spider-Monkey
Which shouldn’t be the case when a base alien is fighting an ultimate
@ksoundkaiju9256 I just looked up the fight and he didn't,he got a few punches in but Ben sent him flying with his punches
@@ksoundkaiju9256 true but it could just be that the Xenocite was amping his strength
Like we already saw one DNAlien Human strong enough to tear apart the metal of a truck container so imagine what it can do for spider monkey’s species since we saw him swing a street light hard enough to dent a building
@@ksoundkaiju9256 Yeah.. tbh if they had it be like Mizaru was heavily mutated from the Xenocyte and thus, enhanced him and thus a reason for him to get a few licks in, would have been fine but no.. they had him.. be mostly the same.. like why did he just have the Xenocyte as a hat instead of getting mutated like the rest of his species lol
@@Thickdickdaddy420 yeah idk why he is saying that Mizaru was winning lol
Ah, yes, I was looking forward to you discussing that one. I personally think it's one of the most forgettable episodes. I remember it mostly for 2 things: Simian and Eunice returning, and Mizaru's absolutely hilarious death at the end (thanks for including it in the video by the way :p). Overall, I honestly agree with your score, and that Simian probably was better off left for dead (or if they were gonna bring him back, he should have at least been disfigured).
I wish we could’ve seen more of Eunice.
Yo....dropped the disrespect hammer on misaroo with the shark boy eating him in one bite
I didn't even know this episode existed.
*Deep breath*
-Spidermonkey's world? Eunice's comeback? Return of the Dnaliens? Should be cool, but just isn't I'm afraid.
- I'm not surprised the Ultimatrix doesnt have the genetic repair function, given how its built. But would rather it just say "Error!" upon Ben's command then.
- Mizaru was ok. He mainly stands out in my mind as to looking more as an in between of Spidermonkey and his ultimate.
- I digged seeing the Dnaliens again. The best way i could describe it is if you let the Xenocytes run rampant enough, without something like the Highbreed's predjudices getting in the way. Otherwise, yeah, its a cop out lol.
- Simian's story was decent. Kind of a "I messed up big time and i need help" stories. Still surprised that he was still alive to begin with, lol.
The best (filler) Episodes in ua after this episode is catch a falling star and Night of the living nightmare
If this episode was written in Omniverse era then it would be such a banger!
The spiermonkey designs would stand out much more for sure! No telling how they'd make the planet look, or how they'd do DNAliens
The only thing we would’ve missed out on is the Spider Monkey vs Ultimate Spider Monkey fight. But I still think it would’ve been better
@@dataroaming7512I still think it would’ve worked because it would show that the alpha sometimes is only such because he has yet to meet someone who dares to challenge him
I don't know, I'm a bit concerned they'd make everything look too cartoonish and give stupid stereotypes to the Arachnichimps.
the background, the design of the planet itself, disntinct arachnichimps, yup definitely
I mean just look at Frankenstrike's planet and how good looking it is
One of the only eps I watched of this show
Is there a reason why spider monkey doesn’t look like mizaru? It seems pretty clear that he’s the “prime” of the species, and since the omnitrix creates a prime version of the alien, shouldn’t it in theory look like mizaru?
ben's younger prime 16 year old.
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 so theoretically an adult Ben using spider monkey would look something like mizaru?
@@xero1048 Probably if that's the case but is Mizaru considered the peak of his species?
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 I mean he seemed to be on the same level as ultimate spider monkey so I would assume so in terms of strength. It depends what the omnitrix defines as a “prime” specimen of the species I suppose
Ok so, i remembered this episode, but i completely forgot the huge guy was eaten (im not spelling his name, i refuse to try in fear of typing something bad)
3:15
Classic 😂
Simian surviving the acid in his ear makes no sense at all. Even as a kid I thought he should have at least gone deaf from that.
Headcanon: his face is actually hideously scarred and he's wearing one of those masks kevin used when he got mutated into different materials. It would make sense given simian has highbreed tech and thr DNAliens used them a lot too.
I like this episode a lot!!!!! Especially seeing the spidermonkey home world
3:12 This part never fails to make me laugh tho
I forgot this episode existed 💀
“Spidermonky”
I kinda like how Omniverse included that worm as one of the nemetrix’s predator trabsformations
That was slamworm not he snake thing there different
@theglassespro4557 of who I’m not following
@theglassespro4557 ok
Before i saw thumbnail i thought it was and beyond episode
Ben cheating on Julie never gets old 🤣
Ikr? 😂😂😂😂
@TheGlassesPro True
True, ultimate alien ruined benlie relationship
@@yashbjoshi12 Omniverse made the worst of it. Instead of fixing their relationship, they ruined it. And they brought back Kai, who only liked Ben as a pet and nothing more.
@@kristelvidhi5038 i mean I don't blame OV for dropping a relationship UA already nearly destroyed unapologetically. Binging kai back was a mistake no doubt though.
Another review so soon, you spoil us
I forgot Mizaru died!
this was the weirdest episode for me great vid btw
This episode boild down to "interesting concept, lackluster execution." The way the villain gets taken out was a really highlight, though.
Spidermonkey is one of my favourite aliens
The spider monkey King was played by the actor who was in the movie bushwhacked
Cool seeing my girl eunice again but I can see why that this episode was a bit forgetful for ultimate alien
I was just Watching ben10 ultimate alien simian says episode And this Pop up What a Suprise .
Guess we won’t see arachnachimp version of and beyond since we seen spidermonkey world and it’s predator
If we did it Could be a remake?
Like ledgerdomain but in smaller scale and regular horas trip
Honestly I wouldn't knock the environment much. Sure, it looks like an earth jungle, but when has the show EVER been set in a proper jungle before this to begin with? It's a pretty unique backdrop for Ben 10 altogether
This is a very memorable episode, but that doesn’t mean it’s the best
Ngl, I love Simian. Mainly cause his voice is awesome
one thing that I like this episode after watching Omniverse is the Aracnochimpanse natural predators, so Why OV forgot about this? we could've seen Khybers pet transforms into one of this, such a dissapointment
You known it's just dawned on me that simians VA I'd mr krabs' VA
@An animal lover maybe Im not 100% sure it sounds like him though
With these Reviews You see why UA gets the hate that Omniverse once got...that the fillers are the most forgettable compare to the other season Even Omniverse had the most interesting ones when You look for out of context videos
OV > UA
Legit, when they dedicated an entire episode to Blukage and Driba simply trying to find a Mr Smoothie while Ben 10 stuff is just treated as window dressing, I knew I was in for a far more entertaining show. Omniverse has its problems, but it at least knew to have fun with itself unlike how Ultimate Alien was so sterile and CW tryhard in comparison.
@@anothergamer112 THIS
Hm, what is the requirements for a Episode to get Reviewed on the Ink Tank Channel instead of this Channel?
Does this mean Ben 10ks Spidermonkey transformation will look like this when he reaches a certain age?
Probably
Unlike last episode, I'm absolutely Happy with this being a quick review 😂😂
Wasn’t the last one Max’s backstory episode? What was there to even say about that lol.
Was this the last appearance of unis?
She has a brief cameo in the most dangerous game
Unpopular opinion: i kind of prefer Spider Monkey having acutal pupils like Simian or the rest of the Arachnichimps as opposed to having spider eyes.
it looks a lot more appealing to me and even allows him to emote a lot better and more clearly.
Aaah, expressiveness or something more alien in appearance? This design rule has been trumping me a lot recently!
This episode was really weird
Yep
I like to think all Aliens look the same because humans would have no ability to tell one from another, you know what you're looking at but no clue how to identify them, making them all look the same, obviously that isn't the answer but it's an interesting thought and helps deal with the fact that all of them look almost identical
im suprised ben 10 didnt make aliens that ben has dna to look different in proportions compared to the one he has. It would be nice to see a tall, masculine kyrptonite and a small, fragile, tokustar
