These guys talk about cars like they are in their mid-40s but they don't have not 1 gray hair. Makes me wonder how old these guys really are if they claim to have been driving age in the 90s. And Doug doesn't seem like the type of person to keep up his appearance. He literally looks like he rolled out of bed. Hoovie maybe cuz he has a new women above his punching weight to try to keep up with. He combs his hair at least.
@@beaushaw watching videos where he interacts with other people has revealed that he is the kind of guy I would refuse to have anything to do with at all
I find Doug roasting Hoovie for being from a rich family so funny. Especially with the contrast of them sitting in Doug's bunker with his million dollar car just out of frame.
Especially since Doug seems to have grown up fairly well off too. Maybe not "rich," sure his parents were frugal but he lived in a wealthy area of Colorado.
I think it’s the only joy he has left is that “top dawg” feeling he gets when he steps in the office with his pleebs and minions now that he has the Carrera & Ford GTs
You should do a ticker along the bottom with the price at the time, adjusted for inflation, and a comp sale (if any) just to help give a point of reference. Just a thought.
So? He worked at a dealership might as well get a GM dealership same thing. Not like he or his dad has a Ferrari or a cool car which is the case with hoovie
This made me pull out my June 2006 😂 Carrera GT "2 to choose from!" For $379k, Heritage Edition Ford GT for $175k obo, Black/gold 1971 Miura SV with 37k miles for $410k, 1990 F40 w/ 4k miles for $359k, 1988 Porsche 959 with 6800km for $327k, 6-speed Murci in yellow with 8400 miles for $245k, a 29k mile 1996 993 twin turbo for $74k or trade, 1970 365 GTB/4 Daytona for $218k, chassis #41 Ferrari 333SP unused and undelivered for $850k ($5 million now). This is awesome, and the sheer amount of Eacalades and Hummer H2s fully customized with Xenon body kits, lambo doors, undercarriage neons, and tvs everywhere is just hilarious. I remember these days💀
Hey Kennan, got a great kick out of the game today. Loved seeing the stretch Ferrari f40 at the end. I was fortunate enough to walk out of the church to find this waiting for us on my wedding day (coming up on 25 years ago) riding away in it with my best friends. Thanks for the joy in seeing it on one of my favorite channels!
Funny Doug mentions his dad buying a 1998 Camry. In 1998 my parents bought a Nissan Altima. Best generation of Altima btw. It came with a CD player as standard. I used to sit in the driveway and play CD's. That car had a bass heavy sound system. Memories!
None of the previous games where it would have been helpful to zoom in on the pictures did that, but now we're showing the prices before they guess which ruins the suspense/doesn't let us play along at home. One of these videos they'll figure it out
This and they should cut back to the picture of the listing regularly while Tyler and Doug are talking to give some context I think full ad with black bars on price would work best
I still have a huge stack of late 90’s-early 2000’s DuPont Registry books. It’s crazy how “cheap” everything was. I will always remember the unicorn I was fortunate enough to see. The 2000 McLaren F1 chassis #072 with the added HDK. I was visiting Motorcars International in Springfield Missouri somewhere around 2001-2002, where the car was located. They were asking $870,000 and I think it had roughly 1200 miles on it. I couldn’t believe how absolutely tiny it was in person. What an amazing machine.
I moved to Denver in ‘98 and paid a visit to Ferrari of Denver right around when this ad for the 456 was on sale. I remember them having an Alfa Montreal which was cooler than most of the cars they had there at the time.
I didn’t grow up in the 90s. I was born in 2000 and grew up in up in the 2000s and 2010s. As I watch I like to guess myself but since I’m a lot younger compared to them, I will not do so well, So this will be interesting. When I was born my mom has a beige 1996 Honda Accord DX, with cloth, steel wheels, and manual windows, only options were A/C and Cruise Control, my dad had a well equipped silver 2000 Nissan Maxima SE.
Doug briefly mentions Roanoke Chrysler... You would think Virginia but no, it's still there in Roanoke Illinois. That dealer would buy the Viper and Prowler allocations from other dealers around the country and made itself the place to go if you were in the market for one of those cars. The funny thing was Roanoke is a small farm town in the center of the state near Peoria. The clientele was farmers buying pick-ups and celebrities like Michael Jordan who i heard showed up one day and bought a Viper. It was fun as a kid to go in there and actually get to sit in the fancy cars on the showroom floor. Today they are pretty much a normal Jeep dealer.
In 98 I was 5 and my parents had a teal 96 Windstar a silver CRV. Somehow my earliest memory is staring up at a flowing Ford flag on a pole against the bright sky at the dealership. No idea how I can remember that.
This is how you know that someone loves cares is when they have an appreciation for the history of cars. Just thinking and imagining about all these cars in their time is so much fun
My first car was a ‘97 Honda Passport (Isuzu Rodeo) with a manual. It was in very rough shape; the P fell off the name badge and from then on we called it the “assport”
Summer of 98 I was 14 and on the hunt for a Ferrari 308 with my dad. We had many of the DuPonts of the time. Nationwide auto shopping sure didn't exist like it did now though. You checked the classifieds every Sunday. July of 2000 we finally found the car, a 77 GTB for 24k. Still have all those DuPont magazines AND the 308 in the garage. Other than that, it was a great summer of biking around with friends, chatting on AIM, surfing GeoCities and playing 007 Goldeneye. The 90's was a great decade to be alive (and like cars).
In 98 I was 15, my mom had a 95 Lumina dustbuster van, my dad had a beat up 85 Ranger, and my sister had a 92 Daytona (complete with the paint missing from the front of the roof like most of the early 90s Chryslers)
I loved watching this, it brought back so many good 90's memories and nostalgia, I remember vividly getting these books for Christmas. I had those exact copies❤
In the summer of 1998, I was currently serving onboard the USS Independence (C.V.-62) during her last months before eventually being decommissioned on the 13th of September.
I’m really rooting for both Hoovie & Kennan to score big paydays (maybe they got in on GameStop stock at a dollar or something like that) and Hoovie to recover from his divorce(s) and finally get a massive payday …. Something to where both guys’ net worths are a dollar more than Doug’s. Idk if Current Doug could handle having someone worth more than him around!
Beak Skylark was 1992-1995 and 1996-1998 finished out the generation. I had a 1995 Custom Coupe and that car was so good from 156xxx to 190xxx miles. I miss it a lot. Comfy, low slung, great turning radius, and the V6 made a decent sound and it had just enough power to get out if its own way
Kennean (sp?) has the on screen personality of a toaster. I get it he is buddies with one of the great "car guy" personalities but damn... put him behind the camera please.
My father’s close friend who owns a wrecking yard crushed a 300sl gullwing in the early 90’s cause they weren’t worth much according to him. This was in Massachusetts. You can google it.
1983, leaky 1957 Gullwing SL was $ 200,000 Canadian at Benz dealership. New gray market 1988 Countach new was $187,000 cdn. Nobody bought it. New McLaren F1 was $1 million.
Lmao I just walked through the Bellevue Lambo showroom and service center today. They had a crazy wrapped 992 GT3 RS, a LaFerrari, and a really nice spec on a Senna
Hoovie being 2 years older than Doug is the biggest surprise of the whole video

It's all he has after Emily took the house.

No it's cause he lost his virginity to his boyfriend in the back seat.
"Suckers to the side, I know you hate my '98 (You're gonna get yours!)" in my head all through this. More of these please!
