    What was your favorite advice from this interview?

      JOUNAL EVERY TRADE I TAKE

    • @chilatelover

      Have a reason to be in the trade bc then when reason is no longer valid you can get out peacefully without freaking out. If you don't have a reason for the trade and it goes against you then you are more prone to freaking out. Freaking out our trading with fear is the worst you can do in my opinion

      most interesting advice was, first u have to be blunt to your reactions to create that inside on the market by following those simple rules.. then u can rely on your experience

    Hey Etienne, I don't mean to be rude, but I was hoping if you could speak more clearly. Nonetheless, great interview and great work. Sometimes I listen the interviews in the car in the form of podcast and most of the time I couldn't make it out what you're saying. Just my 2 cents which can be ignored. I apologize if it offends you.

    everything this good man says would have much more credibility if he would first show some trackrecord proving that he is a consistently profitable trader and second if the only reason he did this interview is to promote his Aspen trading services and proprietary indicators. I know many people who have as many or more years that this gentelman in the sector and its main source of income are youtube, indicators and courses being trading something tertiary so do not let yourself be impressed by the gray hairs of one who pretends to make you believe is a successful trader.

    Sort of general. And he said that volume plays a role in his trading but not showing it. You can see that volume in MT5 easily, and it usually peaks at specific times every day. Then you can note what price action there is afterwards. In particular in relation to the EMA.

    Pivot points are - the average of the high, low, and closing prices from the previous trading day - they are absolutely not arbitrary.

    It is all very well having hindsight, ie drawing lines that coincidentally line up... oh that means something... Cover the second half of screen... you'll have no idea what going to happen next. just a variation of the gambler's fallacy... trust me cos this happened in the past... yes it might repeat then again it might not. Elliot wave 2.0

    I notice you've never had anyone on that trades SMC or ICT style , are you one of those purest that thinks SMC and ICT style of trading is a fraud and just doesn't work , or what's the deal here?
    I've been watching your show off and on since I began trading in 2017 and have seen you have multiple TH-cam traders on but.never ICT or anyone who trades this way .
    I just found it odd trading nut podcast and many others seem to have a majority of SMC traders as guest.
    Your show is still awesome I was just wondering about this though.

    • @DesireToTRADE
      @DesireToTRADE  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I just haven’t found anyone with good verifiable credentials yet. Other podcasts like to interview the “Lambo guys” or traders with 2-3yrs of experience… that’s not my style. If you have any suggestions, I’m happy to link into them!

      @@DesireToTRADE thank you for the honest answer , and yes there is many undeserving people in the industry with a following they gained through flashing fancy things getting interviewed on other podcasts . I've even called them out and said you would never see this on desire to trade lol. Would be nice to see Michael himself on your show .
      I don't no what type of vetting process you use , but there is some ICT students like Jade Cap getting 6 figure payouts from prop firms using SMC.
      It is a newer methodology So understandably there won't be people with 20+ years of experience

      Magic system? Where precisely in the interview did I suggest such a ridiculous notion? Please be careful what say/post as most people rarely 'fact check' and thus get a very incorrect impression of me and my style.

    • @crazytrain7721

    • @viking8889
      @viking8889 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@davefloyd937 because he was trying Elliot Wave and that wasn’t working so he started trying lookback points and that’s not going to work so well because as a full time trader since 1995 I can tell you that doesn’t have a high reliability rate either. So my comment was completely valid.

    • @golddigger2121
      @golddigger2121 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He mentioned trying privot points and stochastics also but stochastics was just a confirmation indicator I think he said. I wish he would have touched on money management and trader psychology because it seems to me almost any system will work if a trader can keep their emotions under control and not take big losses.

    • @davefloyd937
      @davefloyd937 ปีที่แล้ว

      Spot on, it all boils down to proper position sizing, money management and emotions. Perhaps Etienne and I can visit those topics in a future podcast. @@golddigger2121
