Really enjoyable podcast lads. It did kick off between Colchester & Cardiff in the early 2000s, outside the Salisbury Hotel, along the road that leads to Layer Road (Colchester's old ground) the small mob of Colchester did Ok until the whole pub emptied! Cardiff brought huge numbers that day.

Lol my first football match back in 1971 was away with bristol city to cardiff and i was ignorant of what was to happen. I got grabbed by a copper at cardiff station and was given a thumping in a railways office ( thanx sarg) then he chucked me out and of course the rest of city had legged it and a gang of cardiff lads set about me ,so i jumped on a bus but the driver made me get off so it was back to the train and home lol
A mate of mine is from Bristol but lives in Cardiff. He walked past Central train station to meet me for a beer on the day of a game between the 2 clubs. Police bundled him onto a train Bristol bound lol (he jumped off at Newport and came back wearing a new jumper to cover the shirt)

Also back in those days it wasn't just the so called firms that were involved. The 10 lads that I went away with did our own thing for our love of our club. If the technology of today was around during those era's it never would have exploded the way it did back then. I take my hat off to lads young and old who are still at it given camera's and the jail time handed out.

We came to Ninian the season after but got wrapped up early and the day was over. Ninian Park was proper. Sad looking back really. Great times.
