Cornette's a walking wrestling encyclopedia, but it always impresses me how much Brian knows as well.

@@MRWINDYMETHANE I think he is late 30s, 39 or so. From things he stated in past interviews I think he grew up watching mostly the wrestling I did and I'm 36. I think he's 40 at the oldest

I was a kid when SMW was on it's totally possible it got an 8.0 and growing up in northeast Tennessee I only knew a few people that even had cable and it was on regular tv here on Saturday mornings

I feel like the voice we hear now is Jim remote, over the phone because he's significantly clearer here. I sense that, in the beginning of this podcast, Jim was live and Brian was remote and it must've switched at some point.

SMW's super regional TV show available in all of 2-3 states got an 8.0 rating? OK, Jim. Even Brian Last wasn't having any of that. What a ridiculous thing to say.
regional rating. Memphis wrestling used to draw 18-23's in its prime, going by the local ratings. It's not a national rating like modern Raw Nielsen ratings, so it's slightly dishonest of Jim to compare the two, but im sure it did do a regional 8 rating
He does qualify that was in a local market. I do agree that Cornette often phrases things to favor the point he wants to make, but it's entirely possible SMW did that at a certain point on a local basis.
