Toro Recycler 22' repair

The Toro lawn mower owner gave up on it after trying to fix it on his own. In this video, I'm going to show you how to troubleshoot and fix a Toro lawn mower that won't start. I'll unassemble the mower engine and show you what I found and how I fixed this Briggs and Stratton engine.

Why would you assume there is something wrong with the carburetor, when you already know there is no gas in it? Also, you could have taken the screw out of the top of the automatic choke linkage at the carburetor, to remove the carburetor, rather than removing the starter shroud.

I just bend the tank back instead of taking it off. May has to loosen the 3/8 bolt somewhat

Looks like it's the first auto choke Briggs that he's worked on--really making the procedure more difficult than it needs to be!
+just seems that following this could deter more people from trying to fix their machines

Amazing. You put gas in it and it starts. Maybe you should have tried that before you took the entire mower apart needlessly...

Nice work...I have a similar Toro recycler and I cannot remove the top three screws that hold the gas tank to the flywheel cover...they just spin and spin. Perhaps those thread inserts have come loose in the cover, but all three? Very strange...any thoughts on removal?

How many toro lawnmower repairs does the average homeowner do over a lifetime? What he is good at, is figuring things out that he isn't a "professional" at, which is quite a skill in its self really.
