I've always thought doing 8-10 rounds and then a best 2 of 3 with subs would be cool. I like how much more thinking and strategy goes into this!

I love the segment where you explain why you made decisions for you party. I feel like it gives a nice buffer between the choices and battling. Makes it feel very smooth. Would love to see sweaty battles become, like, a once a week thing or something.
and no chatting between the battle actually allows both of them to concentrate and read each other's move, which is making it more intense

@@seamuspower8778 in what way? Said they're allowed any ability from the typing, dont remember them saying it *had* to be changed (most you would anyway because its just better to) but its a valid ability
Love the team recap after the selection was made. If you guys continue to do this would love to see it.
Just came down here to say the same thing. The faster format The We Fights are great... but I *love* seeing the thought process behind team creation. Even if we don't have the full back and forth play by play in the battle, I'd love to see the team building recap in later videos
The fact that Luke won despite all the hax was pretty insane! I really enjoyed the more in-depth team breakdown as well.

Draft but Dylan doesn't know how to play draft cuz he only calculated for 6 of Luke's 10.
Team recap and more than 6 rounds is way better than the normal 6 rounds with no team recap. Love hearing what each others plan is, I wish we could see the teambuilding which is why I love the livestreams of this.

There are a lot of good options tbh. Could have also gone Prankster, Illusion, Levitate with Tera Electric for 0 weaknesses and immunity to Thunder Wave, Battle Armor to avoid crits. This is why I love this new format. You can do tons of cool and creative stuff.

I loved this battle video. The only thing is, i wish yall would have been in call together during battle. I feel like that friendly banter is whats made "Then we fights" really popular.

I'm really shocked we didn't see pure power/huge power poliwrath, fur coat umbreon because of alolan persian, or simple volcarona as numel does have simple as an ability

Abilities could only be taken from pokemon which are of same type. No fire/bug has simla nd no water/fighting has huge power
@@akshayaggarwal5148not how the rules work. It's any ability of any pokemon that share any typing with it. He said at 17:50 that he got a volcanion with adaptability. Volcanion doesn't get adaptability and is the ONLY fire water type in the series, so how else would he put adaptability on it?
He wanted to run Drought Torkoal, which is why he didn't bring the Poliwrath, plus Poliwrath was weak to too many Pokemon on Dylan's team. I would even go Umbreon Levitate with Tera Electric. I think Volcarona Simple is more nasty than using Huge/Pure Power, so maybe Luke didn't want to be that sweaty.

I love the in depth feel this video has! Team recap and hearing both people's plans is so interesting.
That being said, I really love the banter when youre in the same call so doing a bit of the old videos on the channel and a bit of the new every now and then would be a nice mix up!
The game tried hard to make Luke lose with that RNG, but he simply said "Nah, I'm him."

I really like this new aproach vs the old one, I loved every bit of it from the extra rounds adding some variety and strategy to the team building, and letting us peek at the actual team building was just "Cheff's kiss".

I like the new dynamic and style, and I also like the no communication during the battle. It gives a little more of a competitive side to each match, and I thoroughly enjoy that.
LOOOOOOOVE seeing the team building thought process. Not so sure about the separate calls battling personally, but the team building section was great.
I like the team building part of the format but i enjoy you talking to each other during the battle and the reactions to things while in the call together is fun to see.

I feel like the different calls every now and then, or if these videos are for something serious like a fun tournament or something. The banter in the battle is funny. I think the extra rounds are fun, but would be cool to see a delibird in one of these

As much as I love regular semi-whacky TWFs, it is refreshing to see a more standard competitive-ish battle again. It's amazing to me that Luke was able to pull it out even with all the terrible luck he had. It was a great battle!

I know you guys have to upload certain videos based on the algorithm but please do a battle style like this at least like once a month or once a week. I love these detailed battles it reminds me of shady's draft league which has also been amazing to watch.

Really love this battle format so far. It's different from the usual videos, but having something more serious contrasts nicely with the rest. The one thing I'd want with it is a short segment after the battle in which you come back in the same call to discuss things with the benefit of hindsight.

When it comes to this new dynamic, I like both. Sometimes a team breakdown with commentary is fun, and sometimes just playing it fast and having laughs is fun. Both are good.

I love the new format. Increasing the rounds to more than 6 allows for more mind games in the team building, and having the breakdown for each of the 'mons and the reasoning behind them makes for great content, gives a good view into the thoughts behind the builds, and also can give people ideas on how to run their own 'mons. :D
