    Hi Russel. Great video. Was wondering how you retop hair?

    • @RussellMidfield
      @RussellMidfield  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Safari! Long time no see! Usually I start at the hair line on the forehead on one side and then follow the flow of the hair all the way to the end. It can get tricky since it's an odd shape!

      @@RussellMidfield oh so when sculpting the hair after its done you, you go over it and give it better topology? like you would the body and face?

    • @RussellMidfield
      @RussellMidfield  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I do, generally sculpts are too high poly to be properly UV unwrapped for texturing and rigged for posing/animation.

    got stuck at the Rounded cube, installing add-on won't work.

    • @RussellMidfield
      @RussellMidfield  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh darn, just add a regular cube, then add a subdivision surface modifier, the increase the subdivision levels to 2 or 3, should be good enough to get started. It doesn't have to be a rounded cube specifically!

    • @plasticvideo
      @plasticvideo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RussellMidfield I actually got it to work right after I posted the comment. My error was there are multiple "Extra Objects" options and needed the one under "Mesh" not "curves". Thanks for the extra tip on subdivisions though, and the quick response, appreciate it!

    • @RussellMidfield
      @RussellMidfield  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah yes haha, two very similar names, sorry I should have made it more clear, but its good you got it!

      @@RussellMidfield Haha yeah, took me an entire day to figure it out for something I thought would take 2 minutes. No worries, hopefully anyone else with this same issue will see this comment thread and figure it out.

    • @RussellMidfield
      @RussellMidfield  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Damn sorry man haha, that's on me haha, I know those two are similarly named, I should've been more clear, but thanks for letting me know, since it's these little things that make me better at making videos!
