Few questions here: When the hot water exits the building in the summer, why do you then cool it further? You say there is no need for that heat but u say its only roughly 5 degrees warmer, how is this enough to heat a building in the winter? Thanks
Louie, We mainly do that here in the southern U.S. where we have way more heat than we need. Commercial buildings in the southern U.S. can be cooling dominated by as much as 8:1. A project in an area that is heating dominated or balanced may need the heat for the winter. The heat would be stored in the warm well and used in the heating season by supplying water source heat pumps with the warmer water. I hope this answers your question.
