Dear Santa...lmao. I've been there before. Like the time I used a hole saw bit, made for wood cutting, to cut a hole in my metal fender, to make a hole for my radio antenna. I wasn't about to go to the store buy an expensive metal cutting bit, when I had a perfectly good, wood cutting bit in my toolbox. There was a lot of smoking, and by the time I forced that bit through the metal, there were no teeth left on the bit. But hey, the wood bit was inexpensive to replace, and I now have cool tunes. Lol. Thanks for the video, coming along nicely.
Great work Dave, when you know for sure the lever is just right you should harden it, think that would not pass inspection as is. Also really dig the recessed look of the booster on the firewall ! looking very clean and custom all together !
Just busting you up Dave .have done the drill a bunch of holes to make 1 larger hole. Bought a torch set saved on drill bits. Plasma torch starting to look like the way to go. Dear Santa lol
I think the pedal arm will be lacking in tensile strength. Check it against the pedal arm in your truck, maybe I'm wrong. Just trying to keep you around. I really like the mount assembly.
Great job on the pedal/bracket assembly. It would be interesting to see what you could create with a shop full of "professional" tools. I had originally thought that the previous owner had done a good job adding a smoothed firewall (in metal) but now seeing that it's bondo is a real headshaker. I have owned and seen cars with LOTS of bondo but never would have imagined someone would bondo a firewall! What a mess that will be to remove/repair. Maybe better to neaten it up around the booster and leave the rest?
One of ur best works videos... Always love it when you make a multi- item system out from scratch and make it work... Only comment would have been the tiny brake pedal for safety issues but heard u when u said u ll change it... Best fit is to be seated in ur best driving position and trying the pedal and tapping on it comfortably without the need to stretch ur leg far or be crumbled in same like u did on the shifter positioning! All the luck to u brother!
Thanks Blaq. I'm not going to change it until I have pressure in it, and the seat is in the right position. I might also have to extend the steering column a little. Everything has to be set with each other.
@@ScottRods thats the right thing to do and possibly the accelerator pedal would be roughly in same zone and would be all the best fit for ur driving position and comfortable hand & leg reach to everything driving related.
Dear Santa "laughed out loud".... A good days work on the brakes and a great job. I think the servo is a good decision. I have a question though and please don't think I am being negative it is just a thought. Under extreme breaking do you think the pedal bar would be stong enough made out of flat bar? Maybe welding another piece to the top to make it a T section along its length from the pivot tapering down to the foot. It would not need to be very wide but would help to stop pedel flexing under extreme braking pressure ie an emergency stop. Just a thought tell me to shut up if I'm wrong lol
hey John. Because the pressure is end on, it is more than enough. Even side on I could stand on the bar and it wouldn't bend, and you've seen my fat belly lol.
Always wondered how an artist rendering started lol. Good job another part of the puzzle almost completed. Test drive soon. PS larger drill bit less drilling.
Nothing but good old back yard ingenuity looking good stay cool out there
Great fab work today Dave! It steers, it runs, if it stops it is ready for a drive!
Thanks Joe. It should stop by the end of tomorrow.
Well done Dave , making it happen ,using what you have on hand. A man after my own heart. I have enjoyed watching this build from day one.
If I could only tidy my garage I would have even more on hand lol.
Very nice Dave, you have a lot of step bits, and you know how to use them, ha ha
That was a good days work, Dave. Some nice fabrication! I sure hope Santa appreciates your honesty, and comes through with that hole saw! 👍 Tony
Great job Dave! Santa should take care of you! Thanks for sharing!
Looking good dave m8 hard bit done 👍👍

I bought a wood set last year, couldn't figure out why it kept going blunt, lol. Ahhhh, small print.

Crappy Tire has a really nice holesaw kit on sale reg $149. for $39. Awesome fab work Dave, getting closer to the goal line everyday.
I'll check it out, thanks.
Hey Dave really appreciate you showing us the break pedal fab,, this is a great video for all us do it yourself guys out there.
Nicely done sir, loved the job
Just busting you up Dave .have done the drill a bunch of holes to make 1 larger hole. Bought a torch set saved on drill bits. Plasma torch starting to look like the way to go. Dear Santa lol
Wow Dave. You do some good scratch work! I like your design. Awesome job!
Looking good Dave. Thanks for explaining so thoroughly.
Well done sir !
Nice job fabricating up the bracket Dave
Morning Dave.

Looking great
Thanks Brent.
I admire your skill and determination
Turned out good
I would enjoy working with you sir
Don't forget the brake light switch, otherwise great bit of fabrication from scratch.

Yeah, it's a mix of bondo and fiberglass. Don't know what they were thinking.
nice job Dave goes stop's and turn's its a car :-)
Crossing the jobs of now Dave ,next thing you know you’ll have a car outside your house

Good Morning Dave. have you considered a Jigsaw, with a metal cutting blade as an option?
Just a suggestion.
Keep up the good work.
Got one. It's broken now too, lol.
Another great video Dave, great fabrication skills, what did you use for a steering column?
What are ya calling it??? Mt. Rushmore?
I think you FLUNKED colouring in at Kindy..Don't forget the brake lite switch...?
Good call Uncle Jas.
@@ScottRods just looking out for my Mr Grumpy..

If your lathe is running , couldn't you cut a circle hole with it ?
Mounting an odd shape in a 4 jaw chuck is near impossible, and very dangerous, however, that's never stopped me before lol.

@@joepacheco4038 All my drill bits are blunt. I need to replace, it's getting ridiculous.
