Fest for Beatles Fans 2024 50th Anniversary - New York Highlights

- On the 50th Anniversary of The Fest for Beatles Fans in February 2024, it was also the 60th anniversary of The Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show too.
Fans gathered at the TWA Hotel at JFK Airport in New York, the same airport where The Beatles had landed on 7th February 1964.
Mark Lapidos started the Fest for Beatles Fans 50 years ago after meeting John Lennon, a meeting that changed his life. The Lapidos family has been running the Fest for Beatles Fans (which started as Beatlefest) ever since.
David Bedford has been attending since 2011 following the publication of his first book, Liddypool: Birthplace of The Beatles, and he gives us a tour of the hotel and a glimpse of some of the events.

50th Anniversary?
It was the 60th Anniversary on February 7,1964 when The Beatles landed at JFK Airport.
It was the 50th Anniversary of the Fest for Beatles Fans, which began in 1974. 60th anniversary of Ed Sullivan.

I attended the 1978 Beatlesfest at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, California.
I saw Tom Evans from Badfinger in the lobby.
I also attended the 1995 Beatlesfest in a hotel near the Los Angeles Airport.
Is the Beatlesfest going to continue on next year?
