The volume control range is what it is to accommodate sources with high and low output. Complaining about distortion when you use a high output source and turn the volume up to the max is ridiculous. How would you feel if you had a low output source and could not get full volume? That would be something to complain about.

So, not really a test. No test gear used at all, you did not even look in side. Just reading from makers spec sheet. So you don't even know if it meets the published spec at all. Almost pointless really.

SMSL has shared lots of test and measurements with AudioScienceReview and they've always been very close and consistent. Soooo I have little reason to believe SMSL is lying about their specs because most of their gear gets tested third party and they know it and their not stupid. I didn't look inside because this is only a demo product it is not mine and I'm not permitted to. There's pictures of the inside anyone can look up in seconds. For 99.9% of people looking at the inside doesn't say much. There's plenty of gear made with high end parts that are junk in function. You assume to much and know to little and I'm sure this video will be helpful to at least one person and that's good enough for me.

No, but I suggest you use a high-level connection if possible for optimal integration between the amplifier and the subwoofer.
