    Bro.
Much respect for swapping from the clean version man. Much respect. I see so many reactors like, "Aww man. This is the clean version? Ahh... well, I guess we here, let's go"
No, man. Let's not go. lol, it can't be *that* hard to find a different video..
anyways, I'm 1/3 of the way into this video, the reaction hasn't even started yet, I just had to get that out there. I've literally yet to see someone correct this particular error.

I can't imagine anyone not coming to similar conclusions if they sat down and really listened to Eminem. None of the controversy, skin color or anything would have mattered if he wasn't as smart or atleast musically adept as he is. As his catalogue has grown I have realized how good he really is, not just with words, but cadence, the beats, the music and the subject matter. Even when he was slim shady and the media focused on that aspect he was talking some real shit too. Speaking directly to a lot of kids that needed some direction, some aren't able to differentiate between the character and the man and that is unfortunate but I'm sure there were a lot more that took inspiration from Marshall Mathers, not slim shady. I don't remember where I read this, but someone back in the day pointed out the hair signified which character he was portraying, i.e. bleach blonde was slim shady, regular blonde was Eminem but the darker blonde was marshall himself, such as when I'm gone, beautiful, etc.
When I was younger I preferred slim, but as I get older I really pay more attention to Marshall. Something else that seems to go unnoticed is how short the average rappers career is, I'd say the average is 3 years, but em has been a force for nearly 3 decades now.

He was the biggest artist of any genre during that time and went on to achieve 3 diamond albums, 3 diamond singles, most first week sales of any album and over 220 million albums sold to date... Thats being canceled? No, much like South Park, he's uncancelable, infact, everything you mentioned made him more popular and helped him to sell even more records during that time.

Great reaction! Also THANK YOU for listening to the explicit version. Being that this song is about being opposed to censorship! Lol This is my fave Eminem song. Some more background: Also, at the time, he was engaged in a legal battle with Tipper Gore and the FCC about his lyrics and his whole stance was “Fine. Find me something that is unique to my rap that makes it more dangerous than any other rap.” And then used the outcries of white politicians and parents saying “WELL ALL RAP IS TERRIBLE, THEN!!” To highlight how rap allows people to express violent rage in a nonviolent manner AND used his position of privilege to say that he speaks for a ton of people who are screaming to be heard and maybe vocalizing violence in a theoretical way is healthier than physical violence but equally as cathartic (idk that I agree with that 100%. Words still have immense power, but it is worth exploring and debating).

This CD came out the year I graduated high school. I am one of those white girls he reached while I was living in the suburbs hating my life. Orphaned at 11yrs old and lived in hell the rest of my childhood, switched to 5 different schools and bullied for being poor. I felt anger and related to his music. It gave me an outlet to release it. I started checking out other rappers like Snoop and Dre. The media and public blamed everything wrong with society on certain artists and video games. I only half agree seeing how things have gradually become toxic over the last 20 years. I believe EVERYONE has a responsibility.

He was an easy target to blame BECAUSE HE'S WHITE. Violence was always part of hiphop lyrics and it's not like white middle america never heard of it before Eminem but it's an issue according to parents and the office when this white dude came on the scene. When Eminem came into the game he was the only white rapper I mean you had the Beastie boys and before all of them what we had was vanilla ice so Eminem being white and he can rap his ass off made his sales go through the roof because at the time most white people were not listening to Hip Hop but he brought an entire race of people into hip hop through his music so yeah if he was black he probably would have sold about half what he sold because white people were not f****** with hip hop at that time but since him a lot of other white rappers have come up who probably never would have been able to because he opened the door for them

What he saying at that time you really didn't see white rappers so if he was black he would have sold half because all you seen was black rappers at this time that's why he says I don't have to graduate high school to know that cuz he didn't graduate high school as a matter of fact he didn't even graduate out of 9th grade but Eminem is very self-aware and he knows why he went all the way to the top it's because at this time he had Middle America which they considered all white and those kids would have never listened or their parents would have never let them listen if he wasn't white that's what he say

White America is a perfect example of the hip hop game back in the day. Eminem has constantly quotes nobody wanted to sign the white boy until Doctor Dre sore past all the bullshit and signed him up to his label. I dread to even think how much money Doctor Dre has made from producing Eminem's tracks. Who's laughing now.

I must confess that Eminem is the one who introduced me to the world of hip hop….being from a country that didn't listen to hip hop in the 90ts it was Eminem performing on MTV that made me wonder….who is this guy? The rest is history... but thanks to him then I met Tupac...Biggie....Jay z.....NWA....etc etc

TES show is peak em. Idc if he's a better technical rapper now. This album was the whole package. A masterpiece and some of the best flow I've ever heard song after song. His flow came out so smooth, and he not only rode the beats but went in and out of them otherworldly. Crazy good cadence. It was too easy for him at this point. And had a message and meaning. Plus that energy was nasty. That grit.
