Then go to the launcher named "gta iv" (not the one named "launch gta iv"), then right click with mouse, go to properties, compatibility, then tick "disable fullscreen optimization", click apply, click ok. I decided to go into the batcave to retrieve GTAIV and learn how to get it to work on Windows10 bypassing that message that it wasnt compatible! Finally got the game back up and running and forgot all about this little patch to fix the resolution settings in the game! thanks for this refresher!
