What do you think about TWO GR YARIS playing around with a Beetle around the Nordschleife ?
I don't know the setup of the Yaris in front, maybe you could have passed but taking big risks. That's okay, you're always the best with the stock.
@@AndreaOttaviani1965 yaris in front runs a Clubsport suspension, stiffer anti roll bars front and rear, 255 section semi slicks mounted on 17" wheels, and AP racing front brakes.
@@GreatMotors and then as always you were perfect. you were always behind him and he didn't run away â
Good pedaling work from the passenger
Passenger was a brave chap, we had some hairy moment together ð
I like your new camera setup ððð
Do you plan to do any more mods to your Yaris?
I have a booking with the mechanic to add some additional cooling to the car. Bigger intercooler, and an additional oil cooler. Dynamically I think I am adding some stiffer and adjustable anti roll bars.
That was fun ð
Yes it was! What an amazing day âĪïļ

Pergunta difÃcil de responder sem comparar "back to back".
No seco:
Seriously quick! What mods have you done on car?
Full mods are in the video description. In general the normal track worthy updates: Pads, fluid and brake lines and suspension and tires. ð
How does the Yokohama A052 compare to the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyre?
First the unexpected. After my first lap it started to rain. Did a lap in the full wet with them and the grip was crazy, extremely confidence inspiring both lateral grip and breaking. On my way home I got one of those sudden summer thunderstorms with rain, and there again extremely high confidence (and grip). Definitly a much stronger rain tire than a cup2, and I would dare say than a PS4S (possibly more grip on a wet surface but smaller resistance to aqua planning).
In the dry:
They had grip right out of the gate. Huge difference compared with the cup2s that take a while to get warm and reach max grip.
Turn in was more assertive than with the cup2, much much stiffer sidewall. Which I think at times might have contributed for the rear to feel slightly less planted but something that I am sure I can adjust with suspension settings to accommodate for the smaller flex in the tire.
I had to take significantly more air out of them as I have to normally do it with the cup2. Once I did, the pressures were kept for the rest of the day.
They get more temperature than the Cup2. Two fast laps after a long stop time and the tires were touching 80C. I never felt a grip fall-off as I do with the Cup2s when they overheat. Felt more heat resistant.
Overall grip level felt superior to the Cup2 but it's hard to assert without doing back to back testing. Areas where I go flat on the cups, I went flat with the A052.
I did 10 laps with the tires, I don't see a big difference in wear from what I would expect from a set of cup 2 that suffered the same treatment.
140 degrees mentioned at 08:44 is it the oil temperature
Yup.
The other gr driver was slowing you down big time
We were both being careful :)! Significant amount of wet patches!
