    Interesting video, Brian. If we're just talking about one off tracks here and there, then the others I can immediately think of are:
    Hey Jude - short version on 20 Greatest Hits
    Tomorrow Never Knows - Revolver "withdrawn" mix
    Doctor Robert / And Your Bird Can Sing / I'm Only Sleeping - different takes used on Yesterday and Today vs Revolver
    Obviously one can find a myriad of alternative mixes on unofficial/bootleg albums.
    If we're talking about entire albums with differences then I suppose one could include:
    Rock 'n' Roll Music - depending on the pressing, all tracks have reversed stereo
    Rubber Soul - loud cut (though the same mixes, still an interesting listen)
    Get Back/Let It Be sessions - Glyn Johns mix
    Let It Be Naked
    I'm not counting the Giles Martin remixes since those are intended to be different and kind of fall into their own category.

    "The Beatles Greatest" is an important album to own. "All My Loving" is also on the German "With the Beatles". The Australian "Beatles Greatest, Volume 2" is important as it contains the stereo version of "She's A Woman". The Japanese "Help!" (Odeon OP-4110) contains the 1965 stereo mix of "I'm Down". The Mexican version of "The Beatles Box (La Caja...)" on the Reader's Digest label contain "Thank You Girl" as well as alternate mixes of songs not released on the box sets released in England, Japan and Australia. There are other mixes but I have limited space that I can only write about.

      Oops, I forgot I am not able to secure a copy. Is ""She Said She Said" a different mix released on the German Vinyl than anywhere around the world?

    Great video Brian! There were a couple of mixes there that i wasn't aware of despite being regular Parlogram viewer. Also, thanks so much for spoiling us with lots of videos of late - I know that you must have a million other things to do. We're all very grateful! All the best from the UK (where it's bloody raining again 🤣).

    That Italian fade on I Want You (She’s So Heavy) is a hoot. It’s a wonder they kept Her Majesty. My fave anomaly is the mono mix of Baby You’re a Rich Man, for its ‘spin echo’ effect at the end of each verse. Mixed at Olympic studios and issued as the B-side of All You Need is Love, Abbey Road engineers were unable to replicate the effect for its eventual stereo mix on the US MMT album. Short of finding the original 45, it’s only available on the mono box set.

    Thank you for pointing out the French Revolver oddity! I'm currently on the lookout for any pre-1987 14 track Revolver LP, mono or stereo, from any country, but now I know to avoid the ones from France!

      I had to check my UK copy, it's not cropped, whew! But the whole album does sound crappy overall. I'm glad I got my beat up copy for $5 at the flea market, I won't bother upgrading it.

    On "All My Loving" there's five high-hat taps. It's a 1-2-3-4-1-2 count, and Ringo left the sixth beat out, so there's a clear gap, before the vocals start. You can hear Paul, two of him actually, breathing in during the silence of the sixth beat.
    I think my favourite oddity is the mono mix of "I Am The Walrus" with the extra bar of music after the second repeat of "I'm crying", which appeared on the B-side of the US "Hello Goodbye" single.
    That one-bar passage was edited into the UK stereo mix for the US "Rarities" album.

    Brian, thanks a lot for showing. As I grew up in Germany with the hi-hat-version of All My Loving, for me it was very strange to hear it without that intro. The Hi-hat version is on serveral German relases to find, also on "The Worlds Best". This version is the best sounding in my opinion. BR from Munich

    My favorite oddity is the single-tracked lead vocal on the US mono And I Love Her. It has more feeling to me. I think that's how it should've always been

    The mexican version of Revolver also features the same edit of Taxman present on the french version. Talking about mexican pressings, Devil In Her Heart which was originally released in The Beatles Vol. 3 in Mexico features a fade out which is a total oddity.

    • @labajadaman
      @labajadaman 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @Andres-fh3em Interesting…I just pulled out my copy of The Beatles Vol 3 (stereo) to listen to the ending of Devil In Her Heart. My copy does not have the fade-out. Instead, the very end sounds like a small piece of the master tape was cut out (damaged?), creating a “skip” as if the needle was skipping to the next groove. Maybe on later pressings they decided a fade-out would be better than hearing the “skip”. I purchased my copy in Tijuana in 1982. Next, I listened to my Mexican EP (EPEM-10038) which is in mono. Devil In Her Heart runs completely to the end of the song without any issues (just thought I’d check!). I also listened to Taxman on my Mexican Revolver. I had forgotten the count in was missing as I haven’t listened to it in years. It is very abrupt. It is puzzling why some countries went with the edited version.

    It's not necessarily unique for a quirky song mix, but a cool rarity with a cool story that I have is Por Siempre. Was definitely a unique sought-after album at the time it was released due to the track list. Good video!

    • @alanlinfield8207
      @alanlinfield8207 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      IIRC Por Siempre does have a unique mix of "Blue Jay Way." Those spooky backwards harmonies that usually start right away with the first verse don't start on Por Siempre until the second verse.

    I think there are a few mixing differences on All You Need Is Love as some versions have almost audible instructions to the orchestra and a longer fade-out.
