Oboon throws rocks, is what I call mine. It’s pretty much ramp and Voltron. Make a point to always animate my mountains (those are the rocks being thrown) because the deck runs perfectly well without red lel
This is the first video I’ve seen on your channel, it was honestly the best upgrade video I’ve seen on Obuun so far. I think this commander is REALLY potent and is getting overlooked a lot because it’s “meant for beginners”. That may be true but with the proper upgrades this commander can hit an 8 power level EASY.
Also one suggestion for the future (this is just a personal preference you definitely didn’t do anything wrong) but I would LOVE if budget videos become a 50/50 video. Almost a 2 in 1. Where the first half you go over the budget upgrade version and then in the second half did a deck tech where budget didn’t matter. Other than that one wish of mine great video ! I understand the need for budget videos and it’s good they are out there for people, but I’m typically looking for the most enhanced versions of stuff (without being cedh)

That would be a really sweet thing to see considering 9 times out of 10 if there’s a budget build made there’s usually not a follow up to the same deck without a budget restriction. I would definitely add some creatures to abuse landfall. Migratory Greathorn is a great one whenever you mutate onto a creature, search your library for a basic land and put it on the battlefield. At $.02 it’s a cheap and effective land tutor. Then if you mutate again onto that creature with say Gemrazer ($1.73), you can do it again thus taking advantage of landfall and take advantage of Gemrazer’s mutate ability to destroy a target artifact/enchantment and opponent controls. Fungal Rebirth would also allow you to pull and reuse your fetch lands.
May I recommend you add the temple scry lands and the cycle lands to this deck. Both cycles are strong in general or for land matters decks and are very budget.
Of course! Those are great suggestions. The scry lands are actually (in my opinion) very affordable right now. And the cycle lands would be good too. It was hard to add them due to all the cards that let you play lands from the grave being so expensive. So I figured the “fetch” lands would be a good budget option.
That’s a good point. There are still some +1/+1 cards in there. If you are able to increase your budget or just have better cards, you can replace the counters theme.
no elves and yes omnath gives more colors and stuff but he doesnt plus up and turn lands into creatures. ( i assume you mean the omnath locus of creation.)

We stayed away from Commander initially as we thought it looked expensive but it's what everyone at FNM at our local store plays so I got this deck and my boyfriend built his own cheap one. We won't go back now! Luckily one of his 2015 decks he built was a green black landfall deck so I've stolen a few of his green cards for this deck! Also stealing some of your ideas and waiting for them to arrive :)
I got into commander in 2016 and I haven’t gotten into any other format. I’ve dabbled in standard on MTG Arena and did some drafting (which is something I love and I eventually want to make a cube). My husband and I share my collection. He has cards for his Edgar Markov deck and his wall tribal deck. So stealing is totally acceptable 🤣😝
@@triplemangothreat well u can do elf obviously, you can do enchantments that give him numerous abilities not just plus one, you can use equipment which is alil more costly but u dont have to worry about them them going to the grave as much, you could build spirit tribal since he is one, his landfall while being decent at best is nothing compared to the other landfall commanders

I am not a fan of obuun as a commander, just not my play style.

I didn’t like the +1/+1 counters theme, which is fine if anyone wanted to build the deck that way, but the deck needed more focus.
Why do ppl always make obuun landfall, hes the worst landfall commander, there are much better ways to build him
