    I really enjoyed your long, real-time videos, from 1:00 hour, 1 year ago! With long videos and with real time you can have the real feeling of be knowing somewhere. That's why I subscribed to your channel! I only subscribe to channels that have long, real-time videos. There is a trucker channel in the US, which only makes long videos in real time; his channel is a success! I'm subscribed to his channel. With it you can see all the places. People love to watch long videos in real time ... Congratulations on your videos! I suggest that Mr. make more long videos because I would like to know the roads in AUSTRALIA OK...Thank you very much!...

    Nice work mate. I only drive local in Melbourne in a rigid. I have a stack of light and easy in my freezer for when I have a long day and can't be stuffed cooking dinner. I'm on my own and used to eat junk every day. It much better than chicken and chips.

    Hi Rod gday, how do you plan your journey like do you use any other navigation to get rid of low bridges and truck curfews? And I’ve seen you using a site map of Main freight I guess to know from where to enter the depot is it same with all? Thank you.

    Hey Rod, great videos that provide plenty of insight into the industry. I was wondering if you think 28 is too old to get into trucking in Australia? I’m currently a boilermaker working with one of the largest trailer companies and been thinking about giving it a go. Cheers.

    Maybe a video on the best microwave nuke meals in Australia? I've personally given up on those ready meals, just cook/slow cook bulk food once a week and freeze.

      Yes. Have a home cooked meal tonight, chicken, rice & veg.
      Have come across a stir fry and a pasta meal not to bad. But no real good ones.

    • @jedmoffitt4765
      @jedmoffitt4765 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yellow is truck, red is trailer. Works like a handbrake

      @@jedmoffitt4765 thanks for the reply. I was led to believe that pulling the yellow applied both truck and trailer. Confusing as the red says not for parking 🤔

    Rod mate, I am thinking about getting into the transportation industry. Can you get me some advice on how to start off? I got heaps of questions to ask... Thanks in advance! Cheers

      @australiantruckerrod1070  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi. Contact me on austruckerrod@gmail.com
      One of the best ways is to start as a loader/forklift driver at a transport company you can learn alot about loading and load restraints this way.Get your heavy ridged licence. Then tell them you would like to drive. Make sure the transport company owns the trucks, they are not owner drivers. If you show you are keen to driver they might even pay for your HR licence. Also look for trainee driver jobs they come up from time to time.

    Hey Rod you got any advice on how a young driver with no experience can get a job? I got my MC licence a week ago & have been struggling to get a job.

    • @australiantruckerrod1070
      @australiantruckerrod1070  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey. This is a question that comes up all the time. There has been talk about on talkback radio aswell. Read an article that the government may offer some money to transport companies for training soon.
      It is so hard to find that first job. Thing outside to box, Don't always look at transport companies trucks are uesd in different industries. And maybe do ridges for a short time.than move up.

      Gday Rod. With getting a start in the industry do you think in most cases “it’s not what you know but who you know“? Knowing the employer personally and having mates or family in the loop helps you in the door?

      They are better fresh, but can be frozen for up to 3 months; some are a bit bland, needs some seasoning, herb butter or light gravy as an option. Maybe not as healthy, but just my taste.
