So I'm a little interested in getting started in woodworking. Why'd you choose walnut instead of something else (like oak or cherry)? I'm trying to understand the differences in each type of wood. EDIT: fixed typos

I'm so used to these "Look at me make something in a 3 min time-lapse to a soundtrack" that I was kinda surprised by an 8 minute video of just carving. But what kinda sounds boring was a surprisingly peaceful and enjoyable experience.

This is amazing, I love it so much oml
Also, this gives me hella nostalgia... My dad is such an amazing artist with woodwork too and building houses, it's insane. When I was younger I used to make a drawing of a fish or horse onto a piece of wood and he was always cut them out for me and I would play with them. Ahh such good memories out of this
Tbh he's trained me a lot with woodworking, so maybe one day I could surprise him with one of my own sculptures.. I'm only really good at 2D stuff so hopefully it would turn out okay ":^)
