Well it is close to be yassuo from the scar on face and covered hand also his movement and his sword attacks but at the same time who knows we put 70% yassuo
Yeah like he isn't inkillable/immune to dying, he just has so much rage towards death itself (themselves, regarding runeterra) that he simply survives beating up kindred everytime
Well yeah. He doesn't have magic. It could never be the case that he is actually immortal. His ult is just a representation of what we saw here. That anytime he's about to die, he gets a strength boost because of his rage and/or adrenaline, and he manages to kill whatever it is that's killing him. Even in game he isn't actually immortal. You can kill him, but you just have to wait until he calms down and runs out of rage and strength.
I absolutely love how kindred looks in this. Wolf is a terrifying, relentless beast ready to take your soul. Lamb looks so uncanny, but strangely calm and peaceful almost.
her expressions are hauntingly cold and uncaring. despite trying to take your life, theyre not passionate about it, and dont care either way. like a force of nature
@@shieldgenerator7canonically lamb is unable to feel emotions tho she understands them while wolf feels emotions but cant understand them so makes sense why lamb isnt passionate abt it, wolf probably is but we dont hear the characters speak so we just assume they dont care
The symbolism is also great. No matter how much Tryndamere fights, there isn't really anything he can do. He breaks the lamb's bow, but it just reappears, he fends off the wolf, but can't really harm him. Then Ashe appears and they simply leave, because his death is now prevented
In Yasuos' part, this cinematic might be teasing the way Yasuo is going to die in the future and that is the reason we can also see the wolfs eyes in the background with the arrows ready to hit Yasuo.
I don't think it was Kindred's arrow. When it comes to their arrows, the lamb uses like a white line of energy, they don't have any feathers at the end. In my opinion it was just Ashe's arrow, that blended with the rain of arrows and transitioned into a snowflake that drops on Tryndamere's sword.
My first thoughts were: maybe he gave up some of his memories to Ahri, since they both bonded during the Ruined King game, and she consumed some of his essence like she did with her former lover. That could explain the white hair and older face. Plus he has a LOT of memories I'm sure he would gladly give up to sate Ahri's never-ending hunger.
@@hinderburger3804 Not really, is not an hallucination, since it's on the lore that every man sees Kindred in their final moments, and Undying Rage allow Trynda to fight even with 1 hp, so he's always close to die while using that ultimate, so it's not the first time he fight with Kindred. Also the marks on his shoulder pad are a sign that he was actually fighting Wolf there. I'm pretty sure Trynda know who Kindred really is, and prof of that is the dialog in game when he says that he already told him not today.
For those curious on the timeline of the cinematic, from an article on dotesports, the Creative Director said the scenes are basically divided into 3 different eras of Runeterra. One during old Demacia era approx. 1000 years ago, The other when Ashe joined Tryndamere after becoming Oathsworn, and the final one into a potential future of Ionia.
I love Lamb's subtle movements here! When Tryn refuses death and fights her, she tilts her head slightly. As if she is curious about this random man's determination. Then later, just before Ashe's arrows come flying she slightly lowers her bow and does not take the shot on Tryn, because shefeels Ashe comming and senses Tryn is no longer in mortal danger as he is about to be saved. Brilliant. I also love the implication that Tryn is actually still fighting his enemies but keeps seeing them as Kindred when he is close to death. Or maybe that whole fight was just in his head and passed within a second in the real world.
@@TheRagingAura The soldiers didn't leave the claw/bite marks on his pauldron. Their weapons wouldn't do that. @@lovelysunday5091 i definitely didn't read it like that because we know they just act though on the outside but if something were to happen to either, the other would be crushed, but I do acknowledge that Kayle is really monkaW on her thinking
The cinematic is about the Past, Future and Present The Past, is of Kayle and Morgana, before they decided to go their separate ways of dealing with justice. It also explains how Aatrox already knows them despite not knowing Demacia itself, simply cuz at the time this happened Demacia wasn't Demacia yet The Future is of Yasuo, finghting one last time before accepting the arrow of the Lamb The Present is of Tryndamere, and his non acceptance of death, both by the Wolf and the Lamb, due to his partial "anger fueled blood magic"
In my opinion the Morgana and Kayle fighting Aatrox is the moment when Morgana gave part of her powers as an aspect of justice, symbolized by her passing the sword th Kayle right before the fight is resolved
Yea I love the part where trynd couldn’t even touch lamb only break her bow which changed nothing and u can see kindred in Kayla’s flames and wolf in the forest when yas master about to die
I don't think it was disappointment, it looked like she was conflicted about Morgana's actions because Morgana chooses to bind herself to the earth while Kayle fully embraces her divinity, the last shot really shows the juxtaposition there, Morgana is on the ground using her powers but in pain because of it, while Kayle is divine, flying, and does it all with ease. Oh, and I don't think Kayle likes the fact Morgana stabbed their mothers holy weapon into the ground, she basically threw it away and thus rejected her divinity.
It makes total sense Tryndamere would basically see Kindred every time he’s raging and on the brink of death. And fighting them off while they’re trying to come for that barbarian ass. So good
For confusion about old man Yasuo, look at the cinematic's description: "Past, present, and possible future" (paraphrasing right now). The past is Kayle and Morgana v Aatrox, the present is Tryndamere v Kindred, and the future is Yasuo, or at least one of his possible futures.
And we can see hints of kindred in some parts of the story prior to tryndamere. Wolf appears right before yasuo's debut, and kindred's arrow struck him.

another detail that I noticed is the scar wolf leaves in tryndas shoulder ,it was done in the realm of death but it stays after he comes back to the real world
@@penono Oddly it seems like Lamb wasn't doing much attacking at all, probably because as Trynd was fighting back it was Wolf's fight. She fired a single arrow, then dodged and waited for wolf to attack. When it looked like she might need to join Ashe stopped her from needing to. I fully believe if Kindred *had* taken the shot it would have landed.
The textures on characters skins are always going to bring back the memory of pantheon's hand in the call, so much quality work put into the cinematics every year!
In the Yasuo part, in the end. You can see two orbs light up, having a wolf silhouette and a white arrow flies in front, being the main focus. Just like Tryndamere, he was facing death (Kindred) but unlike Tryndamere, all we see with Yasuo is the white arrow come flying towards him before it cuts to Trynda.. Leaving a cliffhanger of if he got hit or not, but its heavily implicated that he was.
It's also similar to the old animation of Yas having a bigger wind wall It seems that he really old now, he's weaker, slower, and more tired He's no longer the capable one man army that he was

I loooove the fact that they made Lamb creepy. She's so still that it looks uncanny when she actually moves. I also love that they visually imply that Trynd vs. Kindred is a hallucination, (bodies vanish, clearing gets a little smaller) but when he snaps out of it he still has the claw marks from Wolf on his pauldron. It WAS real. That was a delightful little twist. Also Ashe finally has winter clothes! Thank you for the incredibly fast video. I've been practically vibrating with excitement since this dropped, so the delay on reactions is killing me.
The Tryndamere fight was perfect. Them presenting him fighting the soldiers as him fighting Kindred, how he's being attacked by both Wolf and Lamb showing that he's teetering between defying death and trying to escape (the souls Wolf takes) and accepting his own death (the souls Lamb takes). Yasuo fully accepting his death as shown by the white arrow and Wolf in the distance simply watching.
The scar on his nose explains it that this is the old Yasuo because I read the description of the cinematic stating that it's the past, present and possible future.
The Tryndamere + Ashe relationship is something that I never knew before watching this video. It was an arranged marriage, but they quickly started to actually have feelings towards each other. Deep lore cut on that one!
Pretty cool how the cinematic is entirely centered around Kindred always being there when you die. You can see Kindred's shadow within Kayles fire, watching. Then Yasuo closing his eyes waiting for the barrage of arrows to end his life, with Kindred's being among them.
I believe that Kindred is a physical entity in the world of Runeterra now and no longer a legend/myth. Wolf bites Tryndamere's sholderpad and it leave a fat mark that stays when Ashe saves him. Also Kindreds fur is affected by the windforce form Ashe's arrows.
Iirc they themselves just represent how a person dies, Wolf might kill someone but in reality they probably got murdered by a soldier or a bandit and if Kindred shoots someone that's just them accepting death. Maybe Trynd does see them as he's on the brink of death but at the same time it could just be a cool way to present him fighting as him fighting death itself and how he's teetering between accepting his death and defying it.
The injuries come from the warriors Tryn is fighting. The fight against Kindred is symbolic, not literal. Tryn was fighting the warriors the whole time, but he isn't aware of his surroundings, acting on pure rage and instinct. His body was fighting the warriors, but in his mind, in his soul, he was fighting Kindred. Ashe's arrows kill the two warriors that were about to kill Tryn, saving his life. That's why Kindred disappears. The sight of Ashe wakes Tryn up out his trance, brings his mind back from the brink and gives him a moment of reprieve. And together, they can survive the fight and hold out until help arrives. Kindred is a real, physical entity but Kindred is still Death. You don't actually fight Kindred physically, but in the spirit, in the mind. That's why Kindred looks at Tryn funny, with the head tilt. "Wait, can this man actually see me?" tl;dr - whenever Kindred attacks, it's one of the warriors attacking Tryndamere. All those attacks that didn't kill Wolf, was probably a warrior Tryndamere killed.
Kindred’s presence feels so eerie! Good to see the glimpse of Kayle and Morgana before they split. Glad to see that Riot stepped up their game with this cinematic!
The kindred parts are my favorite. I love her voice lines so starting with one is awesome. And I like how trynd could be seeing lamb or ashe. In the beginning
Kindred's voice 0:04 Tryndamere seeing Kindred while he is near death 0:24 Kindred coming for Aatrox when kayle hit him, well technically just waiting in the fire(methaor that deaths is always waiting) we all know Aatrox is alive. 1:40 Wolfs' Eyes on the trees While kindred shoots the last arrow to Yasuo, seemingly accepting death 2:50 Tryndamere fighting of the embodiment of death themselves while using the bloodmagic that was given to him by aatrox. Kindred leaves after Ashe saves him. For now he once again escaped death. Such subtle hints, such good story telling love this cinematic. Past Kayle/Morgana VS Aatrox Present Tryndamere fighting of death Future Yasuo accepting his time Edit: the time stamps here are for the original video not Mr. Necrits' might confuse people sorry bout that.
That's Master Soma, not Yasuo. Also can Kindred claim Darkins? Aren't they immortals that'll just poof back to their weapons when slain? Edit: I refuse to believe that Yasuo just dies like that in the future, no, I am not coping.
That screaming pose Tryn does at around 4:01 might be a reference to "A twist of fate", an old cinematic where he does the exact same pose (towards the end of the cinematic when he faces Baron Nashor)
I think what Tryndamere fighting with Kindred means is that EVERY time he uses undying rage he has to simultaneously fight in the "real" world as well as against Kindred trying to claim his soul.
Really good at showing how his ulti works too. Kindred almost claimed him (Lamb's final shot that she stopped) if not for Ashe - Trynd's rage wouldn't be enough to deny death any longer
I think it's more like spiritually he fights Kindred, but since Kindred is basically death, it flows with the moves of his enemies trying to kill him, so Trynda's moves in that spiritual world translate to him killing his enemies in the real one. We can also se how he "Deforms" the wolf multiple times probably resulting in him killing some of his attackers in the real world each time And that one swing that Lamb barely dodges, but his enemy probably didn't.
I love the Kindred Tryndamere fight. I think when Tryndamere enters undying rage he stops seeing the full reality essentially blinded by the rage and instead he sees and fights Kindred to hold off his death during the rage. When Ashe hits the soldiers, we realise, he was fighting Freljordian soldiers the entire time. Lamb didn't fire her arrow because he had successfully held off the soldiers in time for Ashe and therefore wasn't going to die.
Trynda's part was the coolest one imo. The way he enters a rage to defy death itself and the Kindred disappearing as they realize that he's saved by Ashe. Awesome!
The way I interpret it, since everyone only sees Kindred and the Wolf and the moment they are to die, Yasuo sees the eyes of the Wolf light up and he understands that death has come for him, so he closes his eyes and accepts the Lamb's arrow and embraces his death.
Man, Yasuo maybe annoying as a champion, but as a character, I love him. The thought of him dying actually made me tear for some reason, I'm not kidding, I literally have tears for some reason, maybe because when he die he probably won't see his brother, but at least he has elder souma
i had chills watching this. absolutely loved it. and seeing KIndred finally getting more love makes me so happy. but also Yasuo being older was really cool. i love how the world feels like its actually alive.

@@BLODSWIPER I think you're right. Kindred takes the ones that accept death and the wolf chases the ones that run away from it. That last scene is definitely Yasuo accepting his death.
Based on Dotesports news said that the cinematic film is divided into three scenes, each set in different eras of Runeterra, The first scene features Aatrox, Morgana, and her sister Kayle battling in Demacia’s past, approximately 1,000 years before the present. The second scene unfolds in the Freljord, showcasing Kindred, Tryndamere, and, in the last few seconds, Ashe, who joins the Barbarian King “shortly after they became Oathsworn.” The final scene propels us into a potential future in Ionia, where Yasuo is forced to confront his destiny through a vision sent to him by Kindred, who represents the twin essences of death.
What if every time tryndamere is about to die, he sees kindred and goes into his undying rage and the rage is him vs kindred itself, only to snap out of it and back to reality once his enemies are defeated and the threat of dying is gone... 🤯
Hehehe, this was a really nice one, it seemed like we were jumping through different moments in Time, both Past and Future, But with Kindred’s constant presence throughout the Cinematic, makes me really wonder what it was really supposed to be about?
I guess it shows that no matter when, who, or what you are, death is eternal. You can fight it off for as long as you can like trynda but they (kindred) will get you eventually no matter how long it takes
I really hope you mention in your breakdown tomorrow how the whole cinematic is about kindred, with her appearing during the aatrox part (in Kayle's fire), in Yasuo's part (the shining arrow and the woods) and trynda
One thing to mention here, trynda was not just fighting kindred, the fight with wolf and lamb was actually the fight with the enemy soldier as when ashe come you can see all of them are dead
I think the best part is that both Lamb and Wolf were fighting Tryndamere. That shows the duality of his character, the honorable warrior who is prepared to die in battle( Lambs arrows ) and the darkin-induced rage filled side furiously clinging to life( target for Wolfs bite ).
I loved all the small kindred hints throughout the cinematic. I think you can see her shadow in the flames after the Aatrox scene and then her arrow and wolf there as old Yasuo cuts down the last guy and he accepts his death.
Ok so first: this was an amazing animatic and song, so i am not hating on it, buuuutt what was poppy doing during aatrox's attack. Like she is pretty much the only other demacian champion that existed at that point ( with the exception of maybe gallio ) and she is supposed to be not just one of demacias founding fathers (beeing orlons second in command) but also THE HERO of demacia (not just a hero, but the hero) with hammer that can supposedly level mountains......we never got a story update after her rework (since 2016) and the only cool thing we ever saw her do is blitz through the enemies with her shield in that one ruinantion cinematic. I feel like riot wrote Poppy to be this really important character to the overhaul story of demacia, but then just droped her either because her skins dont sell or because they dont know what to do with her. To end on a positive note, kindred looked sick in this. Wolf actually looked big and threatening here unlike in-game.
Subbed just because of your react to this video. I watched all the other reacts on YT but none justified how good that cinematic was like your video. I was literally mind blown by the cinematic and I'm so happy you matched that hype 10/10.
The attention to detail is amazing in this one..! The cinematic starts with Kindred’s voiceline and you will see het appear in every fight as she is death herself. - 1:39 you can see her in the flames when Aatrox dies - 2:53 she shoots the final arrow killing yasuo while wolf watches from a distance - 3:08 Tryndamere has to fight death herself to stay alive. Thats why ashe never saw Kindred as you can only see her when you face death. Truly a masterpiece!
I can't get over that yasuo bit where the boss orders the arrows and as soon as he saw the windwall the boss started running. like he recognized the style and just decided to bail.
I think the theme of this cinematic is the fact that Kindred (death) comes for them all, in Morgana+Kayle part we see Kindreds shadow in flames, with Old Yasuo we see her Arrow taking him after what looks to be him accepting his death by closing his eyes and ofc Trynda fighting death with his ult, fighting wolf as he doesn't accept death and Kindred stops attacking when fate for him changes when Ashe saves him as Kindred lowers her bow even before Ashe's arrows come into the frame. That's at least one thing I've noticed.
Love how Kindred was like "He resists death. Why?". And the fight with her was almost like a "hallucination" as Tryndamere was on undying rage fighting off all those soldiers. And when Kindred realized Ashe was around to help Trynd, she knew he was no longer in life or death situation.
That's exactly it. If you take a closer look at wolf, everywhere wolf strikes from is where a human enemy was before. By the time Ashe arrives she kills the last two left standing, because during his duel with death Tryndi had taken out all the others. Lamb puts down her bow since Tryn is no longer death's to take.
Such a chilling and amazing moment seeing Kindred of anyone have a moment of true curiosity, at how Tryndamere was completely resisting death and refusing to go down. Easily one of my favorite League cinematics of all time
Oh my god I noticed Kindred is in all 3 segments, Lamb is in the Fire when Aatrox is burning from Kayle's flames, Wolf is in the trees when Yasuo is about to get hit by arrows, and then of course they both are here when Tryndamere is fighting death... Epic !
I don't think people understand how big of a deal the Old man Yasuo skin is, Riot is literally testing the profitability of not only lore skins, but skins for champs that are visually aged. This could be the start of some really cool skins.
@@kroneexebut what is "better" to you? As an artist this looks 100x more detailed and elevated than anything I've seen them make before lol so idk what you're looking for
My problem with the Yasuo part is that it means his story is locked, and the story of Ionia too. It means Yasuo will not fail until that moment and that Ionia will be in flames at that moment in the lore. Which could mean no villain will ever achieve anything until then. Or it could mean Runeterra as a whole is on the brink of destruction and there's conflict/pillages etc.. everywhere.
We don't know when this is - I personally like the theory that for whatever reason, this is in the near future and he had his life drained some by Ahri
Shows yasuos death, in the background before it goes to tryn it shows wolfs eyes in the back before lambs arrow comes down and he closes his eyes kinda like him accepting death and then it lights up tryn
Damn Cinematic Bingo Necrit came prepared Why tf Yasuo master has same nose mark as Yas tho? Like Yasuo isnt a freaking grandpa D: And well the lack of normal blade isnt Yasuo like as well
I cant wait for the explained video because I need the kindred part explained. Didnt the spirit blossom lore explain lamb shows to those who have accepted death and wolf to those who fight it? So why did she attack him? Im so confused.
I think is because lamb shot first, trynda refuse to accept death, so the wolf attack, lamb just stay away until trynda attack her, or maybe they be doing this for so many times that lamb know that wolf can get it alone
No, i think when someone died, the lamb and the wolf will show up but the lamb will shot their peace arrow first, if the person refuse to get shot then wolf will going to hunting the person that's why at the start, the wolf doesn't intended to attack him. This might be wrong, but i think what happened to trynd could maybe just a reminder for him that kindred will always there or maybe even a hallucinations everytime he using undying rage, i mean why would kindred show up if they know that the person will not die anytime soon? CMIIW
One detail I have seen is that Tryndamere's arm guards actually get slashed by the wolf which means that its not only a hallucination he saw when he was fighting those last raiders around him
I like how that final scene seemingly recontextualizes Tryndamere's ultimate from being a simple "too angry to die" into being unable to accept his death so he keeps fighting even against the deity of death.
The cinematic is about kindred and death, so you have 3 eternal beings and a metaforical death (the 2 sisters splits) and no kindred on sight. The Future, with old Yasuo death, he acept it so the wolf is just a Shadow and the arrow toke him... Finally the present with a fight for survival, with kindred fully present at the moment
idk if u saw that but when yasuo looked at the arrows in the forest u can see kindred's wolf 3:20 and 3:18 so i thing this is yasuo teacher which has died or if this is yasuo he is dead in the lor from now.

I also love the implication that Tryn is actually still fighting his enemies but keeps seeing them as Kindred when he is close to death. Or maybe that whole fight was just in his head and passed within a second in the real world.
Trynda came out of his fight against Kindred with bite or scratch marks on his shoulder pad. So it wasn't just in his head.

The Past, is of Kayle and Morgana, before they decided to go their separate ways of dealing with justice. It also explains how Aatrox already knows them despite not knowing Demacia itself, simply cuz at the time this happened Demacia wasn't Demacia yet
The Future is of Yasuo, finghting one last time before accepting the arrow of the Lamb

I think it was just plain disgust at the magic Morgana used.
Kayle always disliked how Morgana bound herself to walk on the filthy earth.
It felt like she was disappointed in herself for being knocked down and having to be protected by Morgana
So good
Now they should bring it to the game for "skill expression"
For confusion about old man Yasuo, look at the cinematic's description: "Past, present, and possible future" (paraphrasing right now). The past is Kayle and Morgana v Aatrox, the present is Tryndamere v Kindred, and the future is Yasuo, or at least one of his possible futures.
i hadnt noticed, you are absolutely right! i woulndt be mad if we got more lore in a short story or book, as to how did it end there

@@freshlymemed5680wolf claw marks on his pouldrons even in reality.
True.
I like to believe that Wolf is the representation of the people trying to beat him up
The injuries come from the warriors Tryn is fighting.
"Wait, can this man actually see me?"
tl;dr - whenever Kindred attacks, it's one of the warriors attacking Tryndamere. All those attacks that didn't kill Wolf, was probably a warrior Tryndamere killed.

We can also se how he "Deforms" the wolf multiple times probably resulting in him killing some of his attackers in the real world each time
And that one swing that Lamb barely dodges, but his enemy probably didn't.
he ends up with bite marks, so I think he's physically fighting Kindred and the Wolf. @@jozokrstanovic9040

One thing to mention here, trynda was not just fighting kindred, the fight with wolf and lamb was actually the fight with the enemy soldier as when ashe come you can see all of them are dead
I think the best part is that both Lamb and Wolf were fighting Tryndamere. That shows the duality of his character, the honorable warrior who is prepared to die in battle( Lambs arrows ) and the darkin-induced rage filled side furiously clinging to life( target for Wolfs bite ).

what was poppy doing during aatrox's attack. The attention to detail is amazing in this one..!
The cinematic starts with Kindred’s voiceline and you will see het appear in every fight as she is death herself.
- 1:39 you can see her in the flames when Aatrox dies
- 2:53 she shoots the final arrow killing yasuo while wolf watches from a distance
- 3:08 Tryndamere has to fight death herself to stay alive.

Kayle giving Morgana side eye pissed me off. Morgana was the reason that Kayle was able to beat him.
Ive watched this trailer about 30 times after I watched your explanation of it! Its so interesting that it turns 4min into a mini story in my head each time I watch it!
I was so surprised like "Wait only 8 mins from a 1 min cinematic?!?!?" Then i see the comment saying lore breakdown tomorrow.... My money on 30 mins
3:19, it is not yasuo’s master in this cinematic, the horizontal cut on his nose indicates the scar from the battle between yasuo and yone. Thus, it is actually the future old yasuo here I think.
what KIND OF BULLSHIT is it not elder souma?! it shows how he fended off invaders to his last breath! YASUO DOESN'T USE A STAFF!
the way lamb keeps to just abrely the edge of the light and shifts her head in wonder is so menacing and supernatural
The idea of tryndamere having to fight kindred whenever he ults is so badass.
For those curious on the timeline of the cinematic, from an article on dotesports, the Creative Director said the scenes are basically divided into 3 different eras of Runeterra. One during old Demacia era approx. 1000 years ago, The other when Ashe joined Tryndamere after becoming Oathsworn, and the final one into a potential future of Ionia.!!!!!!
