love the shots of the cars burried like at 3:20 & ektar really was rock solid with his high saturation against with its surrounding colors vs the white snow!
your photographs are really wonderful. really captures the beauty of the quiet after a snowstorm, in so different from the normal hustle and bustle of a city. thanks for sharing your process, it was really inspiring!! 🤍
It does not matter if these were happy little accidents or all intended, because I really really like all of those more abstract, blurry Bronica shots! Good work ⚡️

Ektar in a snow storm is tough, but love that Ektar red! Looks like the aperture blades are sticky and not closing down in time, i.e. you expected a 1/4 sec exposure but it actually took 2 seconds to fully close, made worse by the cold weather.
Great photos! I honestly really like the look of the shots with the slow shutter speed! I just posted a video about shooting film in the snow as well! I was using Cinestill 800T
You have a light leak .....probably in the film back. maybe coming from where the dark slide goes. That's probably what is causing the white areas on the lower left side of your film. I shot with the GS-1 for about 10 years. Great camera! Thanks for posting!
I doubt that the pictures came out like this because of the snow. most likely, the shutter speed was too long and you got a blurry image and traces from the lights because you removed the camera without waiting for the shutter to close. what was your shutter speed? 1 sec?
That could have been it! Usually my shutter speeds were 1/8 or 1/4, and I think because I was doing so handheld it also added to the images being like that
Hello Natasha, lovely video. But I'm wondering, as much as I like the abstract results from your Bronica GS-1, is this really what you intended? At first I thought hey, your shutter must be stuck because apparently your shutter remains open, while you thought you were done taking the picture. I see you don't have the AE prism, but just the waist level finder. But if you set the shutter speed dial at 'A' for 'automatic', it will always fire at a shutter speed of 16 seconds. The 'A' setting only works if you use the AE metered prism. Is that what's happening here? If so, you can only use the camera on manual with an external light meter and set the shutter dial to a fixed shutter speed matching your aperture on the lens. Just a thought, but no matter what, tons of respect for getting out there in the snow and shooting! (You may have seen on Insta I own a GS-1 as well. Hop on over to @kingmagerard and feel free to get in touch.)
I didnt fully intend for them! I don’t have an AE finder so I just go manual with a light meter. My shutter might have been stuck but I think they came out like that because I used slow shutter speeds handheld, but my Bronica has had shutter issues before so who knows. Thank you for your comment !
What is the lowest shutter speed you can recommend while it's snowing? Also had the same effect on a few shots but didn't know it was because of the snow
I’m not sure because my photos were also a result of shooting handheld and I think mine had a shutter issue on top of that! Generally its best to not go below 60 maybe 30 for anything handheld, and id try the same for snow pics too and see if that helps !
Really dig the tones of these pics!
thanks so much!!
Cool! I like the long exposure blurred style. It's interesting
thank you!!
Thanks for watching y’all (,: let me know what your favorite photo from the video was
2:21 & 6:58 I really like the composition 👌🏾

thank you !! it was cold and quite painful but i’m happy I went out to do it!
That was great! And really, the more abstract Broncia shots were a nice change of pace. Almost Saul Leiter-esque!
Thanks so much! I didnt love the bronica photos at first but I ended up really liking some of them

The red is great! Yeah something like that probably happened, I was also doing so handheld, hence why the photos didn’t turn out perfect!
@@NatSegebre Hold on there, these are PERFECT examples of intentionally delay dragging your shutter to get post shot light trails.

Where did you buy your camera from? Looking to get into medium format but not really wanting to risk spending money on eBay
I got it from eBay actually! I get most of my film cameras from there.
