I got a Vespa Lx50 black, it goes around 70kmph if you remove the "gas break" dunno how it is pronounced in ENG, and something out of the exhaust it goes around 94kmph it has a great motor :p

thinking of getting a 1966 piaggio vespa pk50 buying off a friend who doesnt want it or know value. what do people think a value for it would be? he says i can have it for £550 i watched one go on ebay a 1963 for £1000 and it wasnt running properly. and does anyone know how fasta 1966 vespa pk50 is?

Surely if you have a full moped entitlement obtained by passing a car test ( like me) then if its De restricted to do over 30mph doesn't that make a moped licence invalid?

I have LX50, be warned, save up for when the exhaust goes ( Two Years ) It cost me £240 +vat supply only. Outrageous. But still a fab little machine.

Fab scooter, nip in and out of traffic easily, easy to ride, easy to park. I fill my fuel tank once every two weeks and go to work and back easily getting 100 miles per gallon, it only costs £7:00 to fill up. Get one you will not regret it. On the question of speed I live in UK and here 50cc scooters are restricted to 30 Mile per hour.

in holland you have to be 16 years old to drie a maximum of 50cc you don't need a different license do have a passenger
i am 16 years and i have an aprilia sr Factory

In finland we must pay 40 euros and do a test with pics and questions to get a a licence to drive 50cc and carry passengers, to drive a 125cc u must be 16, and pay 900 euros for the licence, but that includes driving lessons etc.

You just can't carry a passenger on a 'Provisional' (Learner) license in the UK.... which is what most 50cc scooters are ridden on.
