[2016+] Toyota Tacoma - High Clearance Rear Bumper Install (Swing Out & Non Swing)

Check out our brand new Tacoma bumpers from our HiLite series. This installation video is for all 3rd gen Toyota Tacomas and covers the installation instructions for both the swing out version and the non swing out version.
As always, for our HiLite series of bumpers, we use steel AND aluminum. The entire bumper itself is made from steel, but everything from the spindles up is made from aluminum. The aluminum doors significantly saves weight, allows you to easily drill and add any sort of accessory, and eliminates rust. Our HiLite series gives you ultimate strength exactly where you need it while saving weight everywhere else.

Close. But no parking sensor cutouts and no blind spot monitor accommodation means a no go for most of us with anything newer or more than the most basic trim level of Tacoma.

We've found most customers end up turning off that feature anyway when doing this bumper.

Backup sensors won't work, you have to disable them with the button on your dash.

How would you make the wires longer without splicing in more wire?

@@jrfisherco For the trailer wiring harness, we include an extension that you cut and splice in. For the rear camera, no splicing is required at all. The wire is just ran to a new location.
