    I feel like the cable should include earth and that wire should be attached to the metal frame... if the live wire dettaches from the PCB (with heat and no clamps that's possible) you may end up with a lamp connected to the live wire...

    What is the heat transfer coefficient of epoxy resin?
    There's gotta be a problem with the heat release of heat.

    The whole body of a floodlight is made of an aluminum -why not just mount led chip directly to it so it can be used as a heatsink?

    • @dhrubojyotighosh9592
      @dhrubojyotighosh9592 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That aluminum body is too thin to be used as an external heatsink and that LED Chip can get REALLY HOT that the aluminum body cannot dissipate and therefore, it would just be a blown LED lamp

      I was thinking he would mount the Heatsink to the rear of the lamp. however, it looks like the lED chip was a bit too wide to mount flat to the rear of the aluminum lamp body. Although it looks like he could have shaved away portions of the LED board while preserving its electronics and then mount it to the rear of the lamp body with some thermal paste and the heatsink to the back of the lamp?

      @@dhrubojyotighosh9592 Could still put the heatsink on the outside...

    this will blow up very quickly since you used epoxy instead of thermal paste so the heat transfer will be very bad plus there is no active cooling

      Yes true, he could of put thermal paste in the middle, then used the epoxy on the sides to secure it down to the heatsink.

    I Did The Same Thing with A Tractor Light & A Dollar Store Flash Light.. I Wanted A Vintage Looking Bullet Light And Got The Tractor Light for $8.99 and The Flash Light That Takes 4 Double A Batteries With The Silicone LED .. Anyway I Just Power It With An 18650 Battery (from A Dollar Store Power Bank.. I Left The Charger Complete and Just Soldered The Wires Into The Pos/Neg on The Battery.. So I Could Charge It With The USB.. I Carry A Couple More of Those Powerbanks in My Tool Kit).. It's A Motorized Chopper Bicycle With A 100cc Bike Engine on It That I Built Years Ago.. And Just Love It.. No Plates/Ins./Etc. .. Just 16 & A Helmet (where Helmet Laws Are Enforced).. And About 100 miles per Gallon.. and 2 stroke oil.. About 20:1 and They Go Pretty Good.. Mine Will Do Just Over 60mph.. Although, Some Places Treat Them with E-Bike Limits of 25mph..I Think?.. Close Anyway.. I Do That In Most Places Anyway... But, On An Open Stretch Of Back Road.. Let'er Rip!!! lol.

      have you figured out a good way to reduce the decibel levels of the engine? I was considering using a gas-powered motor assist to bicycle, but don't want it to be so loud.

    I think the light will only turn on briefly and then die in less than 1 hour due to overheating because the heat is not distributed properly because epoxy glue is not a good heat distributor

    you have to be joking with that setup using glue as a heat sink paste or connecting to the heatsink?????? you must be crazy but you sanded the heat sink creating more air pockets i hope you dont EVER work on my fixes

    I don't think epoxy is going to be very thermally conductive

    dislike for gluing the led chip heatsick with epoxy! the thermal paste had to be used and then fixed with 2 screws. it will burn soon.

    That chip will die in a few weeks or months. Even a 10w led would overheat in there
