- A walk to the base of Rawson Falls in the Boorganna Nature Reserve on the mid North Coast Of NSW Australia. I try andpoint out some interesting and helpful bits of information along the way.

Thank you. I have to say I really did enjoy this walk.... wasn't long, a little steep at times but not too bad. I was hoping to do Ellenborough Falls that was near there on the way back home a couple days later but a landslide meant a long detour so that's one for next time I'm in that area.

Many thanks, it was one of two falls in the area. I'll go back and do the other one soon. Ellenborough Falls is a higher waterfall and should be good.

I have seen snakes some times. Usually they try to get away from you. Just need to be careful and its normally ok
Hi Mark, that looks like a wonderful waterfall ... it's an area we haven't explored yet, so thanks for the information!
It was one I stumbled across. I saw it was close to Ellenborough Falls and planned on doing both but bad time management meant I didn't get around to doing the second walk. Landslide from recent rain meant normal road blocked so had to do a 14km dirt road detour that slowed things down. I'll go back and do Ellenborough when I know the landside is cleared
The waterfall is absolutely beautiful! Loved it 👍🏻👍🏻And those vines reminded me of the movie Tarzan :))
Thanks. Last minute decision to go there on the way to another location that turned out to be a good decision.

Wow I love this forest. So lush an beautiful. The waterfall was amazing 🤩 Those really big trees must be so old. Strangler figs sounds scary for the trees. They will eventually kill their hosts I guess? Thanks for the lovely walk and talk 👍
Thanks. This was one of two waterfalls I wanted to visit in that area. Landslide meant long detour so will do that next time. Yes eventually the stranglers will take over and just use the dead host as support. Thanks for watching and the comment

Thanks I hope to go back to that area in the near future and do the walk to another waterfall that has a larger drop (second highest falls in the southern hemisphere) more for pics than bushwalking but I'll work a video around it. Thanks for the comment

Yes. I planned three walks on this trip. Managed to do only two but managed this walk in a rainforest and another that I did around a headland next to the sea that I will upload either tomorrow or on Tuesday

Being retired I tend to do my walks through the week when most are at work. I prefer fewer people in the videos so even when I see them they tend to get cut from the video. Thanks, it was a very nice walk

Rawson Falls is good but there is another waterfall (Ellenborough Falls) close to it that I didn't get a chance to see due to a landslide on the road to get there. I did go recently and will put up the video of that walk soon. It's a more impressive waterfall

What a great waterfall. I like that it was a double. At first I thought you might swing on those vines. Lol
Yeah was good it was flowing reasonably well. lol.... I did think of making a Tarzan reference with the vines but I did that before on a previous video

Really pretty Mark! I would enjoy walking and exploring in the forest there! The strangle Fig - wow - he really took over the other tree! The vines are cool too, we don’t have those around here.... are they from the Fig tree or are they separate plants? And of course, a lovely waterfall! 👌💕 Thanks for sharing your walk! Yes it was a good walk. The vines are the aerial roots from the figs. The normally seed high up in the tree and send the roots down along the trunk of the tree. Some roots find alternate paths to the ground

The plan was to do this on the drive up to do Hats Head walk and then do Ellenborough Falls on the way home but landslide on the road would have meant around 28km detour on dirt roads that I wasn't in the mood for.....
