You can always tell them to bugger off and do it anyway. Hospital "policy" does not supersede the law. They will more than likely pushback, but if you're okay with advocating for yourself past that you can labour and birth however you'd like ❤
I'll send my midwife team after them. They WANT you to move around and get comfortable to have an easier birth. Even with an epidural they have ways to get you off your back
I tore with pretty bad with my first kid, but that's cause I pushed him out with one push 💀 scares tf out of my midwife, she barley had time to catch him. I'll try not to do that with my second hopefully.
Out of my 5 births, I only tore with my first born. I was 16 in the hospital, pressured into an epidural, RUSHED and no one told me that you can't walk after a epidural so when I tried to stand up, I fell down hard.
I was threatened with a csection if I didn't push so I pushed and tore got him out with like two pushes he was my first and I was in labour about 13hours
What Ive seen from my own little bit of research is sweet almond oil. You can start the massages at home a few weeks before 40 but always keep communicating with your provider, they dont want you to start labor too early.
Can you teach our hospitals PLEASE??? They will NOT allow any other position besides laying on the back - no matter how often I asked to squat etc

What type of oil, besides almond oil?? 😮
You can use sunflower oil too… in my country we apply oil when we are almost due we apply it on a daily routine
Any oil.
Olive, almond, coconut, avocado, literally any oil will work ❤
This is why I want a midwife and not a hospital birth.
Shame theres too much interference from staff at hospital!
