It seems like way too many people in SMITE 2 don't understand what they should be doing late game. I feel like 4/5 of my games I have an ADC or solo laner who just sits in lane and farms until we're pushing phoenixes/titan... not participating in any fights at all and making every single team fight a 4v5. It's super frustrating. Split pushing is great but split pushing and afk'ing in your lane for 45 minutes are not the same thing.
@@condorgaming4000 I look for a few conditions to be met if I want to split push. If the enemy team is positioned to take an objective that your team won't be able to contest then it could be a good time to split push a bit (or take an objective such as GF/FG, whichever is opposite side of the map from enemy team usually). If your team just got a pick and you likely won't be going for a big objective off of it (GF/FG/Phoenix) and the team fight ends then it might be a good time to split push. If there are no full on team fights happening and you *know* the enemy team is spread out then it might be a good time to split push (you'll want to know who is closest to you and have wards and communicate with your team so they can warn you if you have incomings). If all big, non-structure objectives are down (GF/FG/Pyro) and your team either has a pick(s) or if you know they are capable/comfortable either 4v5'ing or just playing defense for a bit then it might be a good time to split push. Conditions are going to vary every game and heavily rely on your teams ability to ward and communicate.
@@condorgaming4000If enemy team is grouping for a team fight or objective and u happen to be in a side lane, you can group to help the team fight or defense of the obj, or if u noticed your team picked one of the enemy players off during the 4v5 they have now made it a 4v4 team fight and split pushing a tower would be a win scenario as ur team has succesfully defended the objective, taken out an enemy, and has allowed u to take a tower. However, learning when to stay and not over extend is key as you can get ganked quite easily and zero help will be available to you.

i second this, cause im so lost on where i should start as a jungle hell a any role cause i see so many people start differently, some jungles start in speed, others in red and leave speed for like the 5th camp or so and im so confused
I saw smite 2 on sale and wanted to see on youtube if there is a guide for new players. This seems confusing, I guess that's how it works when you never played a moba or smite 1 before. Like lanes, and then jungle monsters, and then also item building, relics, and item abilities? Do you or anyone have like custom matches where new players can learn how to play the game?
You can play vs AI, idk about conquest but in arena you can. Also, watching someone just play a full game is really useful. I have played smite 1 since Beta and I mainly played Arena (which if you didn’t know is just a 5v5 mode on a small map with no jungle) I’ve played a lot of LoL so have some moba knowledge anyway but what I would recommend is play some arena to find a god you like, then watch someone play a full conquest match as that God, see what they do especially early game and then go into a match and practice! With all mobas there is a lot to learn, ignore anyone being rude in the chat if you’re not doing well, it’s okay, you’re literally learning! Hope this helps!
@@FoxxyBoiii Thank you for your help! The game was on sale for under 1$ and I decided to give it a go but was unsure. I'll try arena and test what gods I like for conquest. Assuming smite 2 are going to be full of smite 1 players I'm gonna try to watch and learn as much as I can before playing conquest. While it's not ranked I feel like I need to know something as the games talk a good amount of time.
I swear 90% of my solo queue teammates need to watch this guide. I went 17/5/8 as a jungler and we still lost cuz my adc refused to rotate in the late game and wanted to split push the ENTIRE TIME
I think Titanforge would benefit from having smite content creators come in, record, and help integrate an in-game basic overview just like this one. It’s the most complicated game mode and I just don’t feel that their current tutorial really helps people understand the nuances of Conquest.
@ozzydior they're classified as tanks yes, but they're still not real tanks, Titan Forge just uses that name. Don't correct people when you don't know what you're talking about 🙂
@@Nsix4they are classified as tanks but they aren’t real tanks? Like bro good luck defending that viewpoint you sound so annoying. There is no reason why we shouldn’t call them tanks in this game. They are the tankiest characters and serve the same role tanks do in most games. Just call them tanks bro stop being annoying “actually they’re bruisers 🤓”
@_Fern you sound far more annoying than I do, bruisers do some damage and take some damage. Like the characters in Smite do. No, they don't do the same thing as tanks in other games at all. Tanks in other games can just sit there and take the damage, go make a sandwich, come back and keep playing. They take agro from the enemies so that the damage dealers can do their things. In Smite, either you cc the "tank" and kill them in a couple seconds, or you ignore them and fight the backline. Yes everyone knows what you mean when you say tank, it just grinds my gears because I've seen actual tanks in other games, and the term for characters that do some damage and can take some damage is literally "bruiser" it fits the Smite characters building protections and health much better than the term tank which laughs off everything but couldn't even tickle an enemy.
In lower ranks playing solo lane as tank feels a waste the tank items are doing nothing when the enemy top laners plays damage and your team does not know how to play hence better to build full dmg as solo laner in lower ranks
Coming over from another moba, I'm coming from smite lmao. Game feels so different compared to smite 1, I hope they smooth it out at least for console. And yes I know it's an alpha thats why I'm waiting Ok the jungle thing helped me so much, I think I've just been getting bad matchmaking because I would never be able to get buffs. The jungle would just take them, and it would just confuse me.
@toonamelts menu is a big one. But I think it's just been my matchmaking, because the jugglers kept taking the buffs so I didn't know what buffs went to who. I didn't know if the made the game more like a traditional moba to where jungle got all the buffs
@@nickdavid1846 Take what this video says about buffs with a grain of salt. There are different starts that will have the jungler taking the first red and other strats that throw a wrench in his assessment on who takes what buff. Furthermore, in a non coordinated game, you're likely to lose your 'designated' buff to someone that's either just trolling or deciding to take it based on current stats.
