Putting Spectral in C and Yogi's in E is inversed in my opinion. Yogi's first or second item gives you so much sustain that you rarely need to back, its comparable to two Gaia's from smite 1, passives included. The amount you recover, both hp and mana, is being criminally underrated, as being able to back up from teamfights and re-engage a minute later with substantially more hp than their tank is nothing to scoff at. Spectral is Witchblade, plain and simple. Without crit, it has half a passive, and even if they do have crit, that crit chance reduction means absolutely nothing. Its phys prot and health, and gets its value vs an aa comp exclusively. Edit: I am an idiot, and should have specified this is from a support mains perspective.
I am yogis supporter for sure. I think it’s a fantastic rush. Spectral just isn’t good when crit isn’t good. If you need anti attack speed you just go pharohs
@@funwalkthroughs1285 issue with rushing yogis is that no role can get it honestly. Support-MAYBE-can rush it but Thebes or Beads talisman is way more preferable and yogis falls off hard
I experimented a lot w Yogis in Solo lane and unfortunately i only found it worth on Fenrir first item and Sobek first item. Everyone else i tried like Herk, Mordred, Chook etc. dont need it as much and are better of using something else.
My argument for Pridwen is that while the stats are pretty eh, they're equal prots so they help all around. The CDR is always helpful, and the actrive is on a short cooldown. The real reason I enjoy using Pridwen is the extra addition of CC in this game. A lot of gods in Smite 2 are immobile, especially mages like Zeus. This item provides not one, but two slows. One when casted, one when the shield pops. Maybe it's just me, but I love slows. I love CC.
You can have 7 items in Smite 2. I haven’t done the math to do a pen comparison vs Smite 1 but surely 20health per second is better than building a 7th or even 6th defense item against someone with max penetration.
S1 has wired my brain to not like HP/sec MP/sec even though that's what's normal :( I also wish they went back to measuring things in the extremely unspecific "units" measurement instead of arbitrary number of metres like 4.64m or something I think Berserker is being heavily underrated, it's basically a better Shifter or Shoguns and should definitely be 1, maybe be 2 tiers above them. It's a mixed item now and most importantly has 100% uptime on the passive, giving you the insane stats of 40% AtkSpd and 40 of both protections, one of the highest mixed prot item and atk spd item in the game. Also fairly cheap and good on Junglers who can make very good use of the attack speed obviously, and some use of the protections in their dive-based role and with the removal of many flat pens the prots are even better for Junglers. I also think Jotunn is a B/C Tier item because its high price and no flat pen+low stats (even in S1 its power is one of the lowest in the game), also the passive isn't that good in early because you usually only gank 1 target and don't need the passive. The item that I think should be the new Jotunns is Pendulum, because it has comparable cdr (25 vs 15), the price is only 100 or 150 gold more but you get a lot of strength (*for a 150g increase, not a lot in an objective sense), and the active is way better in early game and still very good in late game, because you use it when you need it/can get guaranteed value, instead of Jotunn passive being occasionally wasted. Bracer is also kind of bad because it's in a similar situation as Poly where there aren't good ability spamming magic AA gods, even in the case of Ama you can't drop all 3 of your damage abilities just to get 3 (out of the 4 maximum) stacks cause you'll just get blown up. My last take is Sun Beam should be higher (A) tier because it gives an insane 50% Basic Attack Dmg, S2 has less mana problems, free efficiency/clear speed such as when clearing camps/wave before going back to base since you get mana back, synergizes well with hunters who often have excess mana to dump, works on towers & jungle bosses basically giving you damage similar to Qins for them. Separate from that, I think the toggle type of active is very cool and they should add more toggle actives.
Thebes really has become the poor man’s Prophetic Cloak Yes, Thebes is slightly easier to stack than Prophetic but… No aura. Less tanky. No cooldown. Most importantly, it feels selfish to build it. The only thing it has going now is health and mana but in a fight, a simple 150 extra of both will barely make a difference.
Doom orb is not too bad if you have book of thoth in build, better than typhon for sure. Typhon has no place in any build. Early you want int and ar, while later you want pen. Typhon fits nowhere in build being low and int and having no ar or pen. And lifesteal is just defensive stat but more awkward than things like soul gem and blood-bound. Compare it too bloodbound book. If you deal 2000dmg you heal for 750 with typhon. Book is 300 from lifesteal, then you have 150 extra hp and on top of that you can get, on 2000hp and 500int, 600shield and you get 20% lifesteal so more damage you deal heals even more. Not to mention shield is something that can help vs being bursted under cc while lifesteal is almost useless. Yes cd can be an issue but as long as you get 1 kill in that fight you can use it every fight. There is not a single case i can think when using typhon is better than book. If there is an item which outshines another in all situations there should be no reason not to put typhon in F tier.
Most solo laners are mages now, it’s super frustrating. I love the warrior class but as the game rn it feels super mage heavy but maybe that’s just my games in ranked :/
I do agree that the mages so far are very effective in solo, hell my Ra solo games have been going great. The problem is that not many warriors (or physical solo I guess they are now) can compete with the clear or sheer damage of mages. If we get Surtr, Achilles, Wukong, Cu Chulainin, Erlang, Gilgamesh, or Guan and King Arthur. Those are all effective brawlers that can dominate a mage in the laning phase.
@ I do agree with the Gods you said but it should not be a “wait for them” situation, just either buff the solo lane items or nerf the mages in a way that can be fair for them. Just feel like all the warriors are just not that effective until team fights but even then if your not am or herc then you fall off real quick. Even when I jungle or my jungle does gank solo I feel mages always get away because they can afford to play so far back and the warriors just eat the damage no matter their efforts. Mainly Pos, Ra, and Hec just get lvl super quick and just own the lane in solo. Just as of right now it feels like warriors do not have a spot in the game like they did in smite one.
@ I think some tweaks to items or more preferably new solo items are needed. Something like a new Tyrant’s Plate Helm would be great honestly. It could be a high strength item with mid mixed defense with more magical prots, maybe an additional stat but I’m not what, passive would make minions gain more health and movement speed
@@TragikDinoThe issue is the players not realizing that a ra is only an issue fron ahead, you have to play safe the first 5 lvls or so and basicallu counter them, especially the solo mages that basicallu build like a mid, those will fall hard if they don't get ahead and their team will be playing with just 1 tank, which means no frontline, no cc, and if you take their supp theyll have a hard time taking objectives and by the way Hades shutdowns all the mages that have no escapes and his kit is designed to build prots, baron is also a nice counter, herc can also handle solo mages and of course sobek. The other thing is that theres are no classes in smite 2, at least not in the same wait that smite, baron is a solo that can flex in mid and hades is the same, their desings scale with either prots or hp alongside int, so in smite 2 you have roles and the gods are desing to fit certain roles way better than smite 1 and thats thanks to the int, strength system plus the prots, hp scaling.
Dominion is such a fun item to use that can create a lot of insane plays.
But it's so damn awkward to use well.

Spectral Armor needs to be buffed to be closer to it's smite 1 counter part. 20% isn't enough by any means.

as a new smite player i’ve noticed the community is rather small i imagine the full release of smite 2 will buff that up a bit
Probably not tbh. Free to play will bring in a crowd but the old community has left for other games. The skins debacle really killed the community
