Just sidestep the reversal edge and punish it. Rock paper scissors isn't even an accurate description. You should learn how to play a game before dismissing it. Especially true for fighting games.
You can always Sidestep it or use A+B. But still, I agree. SC did fine without Reversal Edge and Critical Edge. Soul Charge is actually the only mechanic I like in SC VI, if you look at it from a gameplay balance perspective and not cinematic. Even tho it looks kinda silly when the opponent disappear completely from the screen during the Soul Charge's short cinematic sequence.

It means that the input after the : must come out at the exact frame the move prior hits. It means it's a just frame.
@@LionHeart100 wait im confused, so I put in the command after that like, At the same time? Or like neutral the pad then do the following? It confusing 😣😣
@@DRAGONBALL1351 It's alright, so when you press A, as soon as that connects with opponent you have to press 6. It has to be frame perfect otherwise you won't get it. Too late, you'll just get A and too early you'll get A6 (No Just Frame version).

i dont have W, R, A, B, K and some numbers on my gamepad.
What does that means?
A = Horizontal attack - Square or X depending what platform you're using.
B = Vertical attack - Triangle or Y depending on what platform you're using.
K = Kick - Circle or B depending on what platform you're using.
G = Guard X or A depending on what platform you're using.
This notation system always assumes you're facing right.
Movement:
4 = back
2 = down
6 = forward
8 = up
1 = down and back
3 = down and forward
7 = up and back
9 = up and forward
5 = neutral position [no input]
Other terms:
FC = Full crouch
WR = While rising
RO = Ring out
AT = Attack throw [an attack that becomes a throw if it hits. Unlike a throw it can be blocked]
CH = Counter hit
BT = Back turned
PO - Possession Stance

@@LionHeart100 I rather stick to the other notation. More simple for me.
You kept putting WR 4 instead of WR K. Just fyi. Great video though, I'll have to try these out.
Can someone explain what those letter and number mean? I'm new haha
the numers are the direction you put in with your joystick. the letters mean things like: W = wall, WR = while rising, etc

While combos are good. Having to extend it reduces the dmg inflicted because of scaling. Good combo compilation nevertheless.
Why does the notations look like my algebra homework?
Lol. It's the way notations are written in SoulCalibur.

It means the move is a Just Frame.
Just Frame in case you don't know is an input *exactly* when an attack connects
soul calibur 6 what this game needs libra of soul walkthrough whiff commentary so you can keep trek where thy are in walkthrough

Too bad people don't combo and rather spam reversal Edge 5 times and win by rock-paper-scissors. Such a bad game...
Just sidestep the reversal edge and punish it.
Rock paper scissors isn't even an accurate description. You should learn how to play a game before dismissing it. Especially true for fighting games.
@@Timothy2012 Well I'm dismissing it due to the fact that it is just rock paper scissors.

I usually play game with dubs. I mean it takes too much to read subtitle and pay attention on the screen. But anybody who watch anime with dub is pure human garbage though.
