I wouldn't mind seeing more of these pop up again. B&M don't have the most creative designers but you just can't beat their quality. Europe has drawn the short straw, we have only two and one is teeny tiny.
@@AirtimeThrills I guess wing coasters win out for their marketability, but I’d much prefer the more forceful and snappy rides on floorless and sit down loopers.
I remember when I was the world's biggest B&M fan, especially for Floorlesses. They don't have great pacing but they are paced very well even though that makes no sense. They are not super forceful but they are fun.
When I was a ride operator at krypton coaster, guests would always ask how long the ride is, cool to finally know, even though I don't work there anymore. Funnily enough the SOP lists the ride duration as 3 minutes, which is definitely a stretch, although we probably dispatched slow enough that guests were likely on the track for 4 to 5 minutes including break runs and lift. Bonus for anyone reading this one, if you are in line for krypton coaster, make sure to ride the train with the black seats, it is much smoother than the blue seat train. Also, please wear shoes and place loose articles to the side, anything lost on this ride is lost forever. There were times where we spent long times looking for phones only to find none.
@@AirtimeThrills Yup, the time definitely includes non moving time, although some of the times in SOPs in the park are just so wrong that the hourly capacity its completely unachievable. I believe from the time the floor starts dropping to the time the floor is all the way back up is actually a bit longer than 3 minutes if I remember correctly, but operators can fairly consistently hit around the capacity of the ride (400 per hour per train) if guests are well behaved enough. Although I believe the capacity listed on the SOP is lower than the manufacturer listed capacity. Basically this can open a whole rabbit hole in itself.
I’ve ridden Domminator, Scream the parking lot coaster, Rougarou, Kraken, and Bizzaro and I would have to agree with your assessment on all of them. The Rougarou conversion did improve the ride experience but did nothing for its overall roughness. Kraken and Dominator are the best floorless coasters I’ve been on.
I'm glad to see my old girl in the top three. (Kraken) When I went for the soft opening, I remember how buttery smooth she glided. She has shown her age lately. I hope SeaWorld does a rehab on Kraken like they did on kumba.
Superman at fiesta Texas was my very first inversion coaster I was like 15 before I’d ride anything that flipped. Front row left seat furthest out, I rode every coaster front row that day and fell in love with coasters after that
I’ve only ridden Scream and Krypton coaster from this list and I think they’re both really fun rides. I love just watching the view while I’m on Krypton coaster. Hopefully i’ll be going back in a couple weeks. I’m from southern california, so I was able to go to SFMM in May and SFFT for spring break in April while i’m in school in Texas. I’m going to miss those short/non-existent lines from earlier this year.
I remember riding medusa as a kid a couple years after they opened it, it was so smooth! also anyone remember smacking their head on the headrest on the last turn into the station on Kong? I think they put a brake in now.
Haven't ridden it, but Hair Raiser at Ocean Park looks to be by far the best floorless based on its incredible location and #1 in pacing. Floorless coasters are always fun if forgettable, so the incredibly unique location and unconventional layout really puts it over the edge.
I’m so happy to see that Hydro from Dorney park made it on your list 🥰 i’m a huge fan of this ride I love the inversions and from the beginning they twist your upside down. It is a great B and M coaster
Kraken and Superman La atracción de acero are definitely my favs. I take Krakens layout and Superman first drop and two airtime hills (really rare on a B&M).
Interesting set of stats. Didn't expect Firebird to rank that high in pacing! Can also agree with the rankings on Bizzaro and Kraken since I've been on both.
amazing content as always keep up the good work! Also P.S. finally got the Bizarro credit and was baffled by how rough it was. I rode Scream this past summer and was blown away by how smooth it was. Kinda weird but I personally have Scream over Bizarro now since I legitimately got a headache after 1 ride at the beginning of the day in 55 degree weather with fog, and I rode Scream in 100 degree weather in the afternoon and was confused about the hate it gets (I mean obviously bad name and no real theming plus parking lot coaster but I care more about ride experience.)
I've ridden Scream and Krypton (Patriot and Daemonen too, but those are tiny). Both Scream and Krypton awesome coasters. I love the view on Krypton, and I rode it 5 times. And, for my 1 ride on Scream, I got an incredibly beautiful night ride: the sky was a vivid red-orange and the Valencia landscape/mountains were amazing. I think some of the bigger B&M floorless coasters are underrated, they are such great rides.
I’ve been on Bizarro, Rougarou, and Superman Krypton Coaster and I love them all. Fantastic looping coasters! It’s safe to say B&M looping coasters knocked it out of the park compared to arrow.
I have ridden Bizarro many times, also as Medusa, since Great Adventure is my home park. I used to hate it, but it's really grown in me over the years. I got my best rides yet on it this year!
Kraken's my favorite floorless coaster. It was more smooth this year for me than previous years with no head banging and was hauling. I like bizarro a lot too but some rides were quite rough (not bad but for a b&m bad). Also batman at SFNE seemed to be running smoother this year than from previous years.
I've experienced floorless train on dive coaster, and it gave much more freedom than normal sitdown. I want to see dive coaster's prime ride time to see which has longer ride time. Just to say my country has just 2 B&Ms, and they are much prime than other coasters in the country.
I find it strange that Bizarro and Scream are mirrors but they don’t have identical stats. I’m guessing it’s like how all the Batman invert clone’s are slightly different.
goes to show the quality b&m makes that this model is 22 years old now and not one is defuct yet. also expected scream and bizarro to be neck and neck in numbers, with bizarro taking the edge, but today i learned scream has a couple feet and mph on bizarro. neat. great vid man :)
Funny how we have so many of these now that we're so used to them. I remember when I graduated high school in 1999 when Six Flags Great Adventure opened the first one (I think?) with Medusa (now Bizarro), and I told people that was, as of that summer, the greatest coaster I'd ever ridden (well, until I rode Volcano, Rest In Peace, a few months later). Little did I know what the coaster world would throw my way in the next few years! (Don't get me wrong, I still like Bizarro, but she can give you a headache further back on the train.)
Well Scream at Magic Mountain is the only Floorless Ive been on... But despite it being a parking lot coaster, I think its a great coaster. Every time I have been on it, the ride was glass smooth. Last time I went to Magic mountain it was not busy and I stayed on the coaster for 10 laps and its the only time I have ever gotten even a little motion sick on a coaster which IMO speaks to its pacing and layout. Scream is a solid coaster but needs a better name and theming for sure. To this day, Riddler's Revenge is my favorite B&M coaster and I pray they keep it a stand up ride.
Great Video as always!!!! Love the quality of the content. I was wondering with all the trips you do If you thought about breaking down your trips. I know you did for one of your big cross country trips. But I would like to see how you approach each park like which direction or path you take in each park. Do you go for the express passes also do you prefer to drive or fly? You know how you maximize each location to ensure you get all the coaster credits.
I’ve always been a fan of floorless coasters, with Dominator and Hydra being the two coasters that originally set me on the path to becoming an enthusiast. I feel with how coasters have evolved over the years, these don’t get the same amount of love since they’re mostly positive G inversion machines. But I’m still a big fan regardless.

@WaterishDog they can but not often
