The bedroom with the floor to ceiling vine wallpaper with the birds on it and the painted floor with the half circle window, the whole room took my breath away.. stunning! The entire house is beautifully done.

What another great posting as I watch the catalpa leaves coming down after our first frost along Lake Erie. My parents papered their dining room with a Schumacher paper called Down East in 1952...a nod to my father's Yankee childhood. It cost $350 per wall...in total over half the price of our 1954 Ford station wagon! Image a wallpaper budget with a client with a Lexus today! The room is still a knock out. They had a master bedroom with lots of ceiling planes so I had them paper everything as did Ashley.....I cannot image the room with white ceilings. And, I enjoyed your background text describing the project....a little primer on what to look for in the video during my first viewing. Is this the last of your summer landscapes? For some reason, I desire a chocolate chip cookie!

I keep adding these videos to my "Saved" pages. Wallpaper and patterns are so underutilized in many US homes. You see more of it in UK homes, which I love that style. The ideas are genius...wallpaper the ceiling as well as the walls. The patterns are gorgeous and will look great for many years. The faux bois pattern in her son's room will still look great when he's older. I also really like the idea of using the table, between the two sofas...making the big living room into two smaller rooms. Gorgeous home! Thank you.. :)

My favorite type of home historical looking with classic architecture yet appointed with modern conveniences. Love the dining room and that grisaille looking wallpaper. Then those upstairs bedrooms tucked under the eaves with the painted floors are to die for. Have to add Ashley’s treatment of her son’s artwork is just brilliant. Superb episode ladies.

Thinking sbout the interrupting... trying to hear it as enthusiasm and friends visiting BUT this being such a well produced and wonderful channel I think she mught tome it down . Often she is stepping on key bits on interesting information

Ashley's idea for separating her great room into a family centered TV side and a cozy fireplace side is just brilliant! I love the colours and mix and match of patterns. And the huge branch of greenery between the two sides is so simple yet absolutely wonderful!

Wish the interviewer would stop interrupting the host, and sitting on the bed seems intrusive. But loved the house.
I don't think she can help herself. She always interrupts. I wish she would stop it too and I agree about the sitting on the bed. She's kindof klutzy sometimes IMHO.
Unfortunately , the interrupting is an established pattern.

Okay I was so very inspired by Ashley Whitaker’s interiors in this video. I ordered her Book on Amazon and it just arrived! I have never been through an interior design book with this level of excitement! I have never even purchased one before. LOL. Literally heart racing as each interior was unveiled. I was shouting with delight page after page and my dogs started barking at me thinking I was apoplectic. With joy maybe! I am not normally this enthusiastic a person. But thank you thank you Susanna for your wonderful channel and for introducing people everywhere to truly exceptional design we would ordinarily have no access to. The world deserves to know there is more to design than Modern Farmhouse!!! And thank you to Chris Spitzmiller for plugging the book at the end! And to Ashley Whittaker for her extraordinary taste and truly inspiring interiors.

Susanna - I love your dress. I couldn't stop looking at it. It has that ikat design and it matched all the plants you were surrounded by. My favorite thing was the sepia wallpaper with that beautifully braided carpet in that room. As always - exquisite.

Yes, it is! Not really a new idea; I've seen it executed many times. Crate and Barrel has a wonderful table in iron and steel that comes in 60"or 84". I saw it this week at the store and almost cried it was so beautiful. I've always been a sucker for a console table. As much as I don't need this right now, it's awfully tempting to get it and put it aside for when I do. Regards from Indiana!
