  • Shiogama is a city that has grown alongside the sea.
Shiogama is located in northern Japan (Tohoku) in Miyagi prefecture (see map).Shiogama, roughly in the middle of the prefecture, sits between the cosmopolitan city of Sendai and Matsushima Bay, one of the three most famed views in Japan.
You can enjoy fresh fish and eating.

Like you, I pray for world peace at every spiritual place I visit. But these days the prayers do not seem to be answered. Thank you for your excellent videos.

Thank you for sharing your trips to local attraction / places in Japan. Especially those which are not highlighted as major tourist spot. I love your choices of transport as well as food. Your video gave me ideas for my next Japan on Rail travel from South to North. I have been visiting Japan several times since 1997. My host families are at Shizuoka and Hokkaido. When I visited Shizuoka - there were many local interesting places like old fortress, museums, pre-historic sites, Fuji observatory places, shrines etc. Keep posting. I love the way you help to revive the local economy of Tohoku region by visiting, staying and buying local product.

I usually go to Shizuoka, so I'm glad to hear that you stayed in Shizuoka.
