Brilliant tutorial thank you. I’ve never played with a drone I’m going to try it right now. Loved the explanation you gave of the perfect pitch of the note causing the parent string vibrate in unison to make the full amazing sound happen.
I enjoyed the format of you switching up places! I’m traveling in Greece the first of September. Will the prices still be very high like in July and August?
Never met a string player who thought their intonation was good. We're all broken inside
So true!!
Agreed!!!! I think it is because our self expectation grows faster than our ability.
Thats such a good way to put it@@bertie6355
@mellocello187
I think the observation is about not having the confidence to even consider that you might have good intonation
love her vibe and also her cello voice!
I often play and check my intonation on the Soundcorset application but never thought of playing with a drone. Excellent idea thank you so much 🎉❤
Great video and wonderful explanations 🌿

Astrid is the best! ❤🎶
Thank you! You’ve explained this complex topic so well 🙏🏻
I really enjoy that approach, thanks for your video!
This is wonderful, thankyou!
Agreed! Get the book if you haven't already... Cello mind and violin mind. great resources.
Good advice thanks
One has to know the tonal center to tune to tonic etc

Does Ms. Schween call the G string a C string at 3:27 ? Sounds that way to me; am I missing something?
Thanks!
She's playing a D on the C string, no G string involved... does this answer your question? Or I may be misunderstanding your question.
@@eugenezenzen Yes. I thought it was a G string.
If only we could all have such cello hands
Mine are very small. But my right hand stretches far more than my left. Comes from playing cello since I was 11.
Wonderful tips ❤❤
What's the piece she plays here?
You play so well beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤
As soon as the context changes that resonant note will be out of tune even if it sounds good with your open strings
Excelente gracias
Sadgurunath Maharaj ki Jay. 🙏
I played the piano from childhood. I began cello at college. I believe my ear was trained because my intonation is quite good.

no normal musician thinks so)
The devil is in the intonation.
Not "most of us" - you. Speak for yourself.
Be nice!
