For Windows 11 and Windows 10 (build 1803 and later) there is still Novation USB Driver 2.27 from Novation Website - downloads - legacy - Model SL61 MKII and other MKII available. I'm using SL61 MKII, with the latest Novation Template Editor and USB connection with PC Win10 Home edition without Problem but i don't use automap.
Automap doesn’t have „Auto“ just for nothing in the name. It’s automatic if setup correctly. Say you are in the DAW, then it detects that and all strips, pots and faders control your DAW. Then you open a Plugin and Automap detects it and switches the setup of your device. When you open EZdrummer, you can mix the drums and play them with pads. But you have to do some work. I find it fascinating.
2:16 I managed to use SL MK2 Editor on windows 11, via USB, in 2024. I just opened the editor as administrator, selected U1 on the global settings in the keyboard, and everything worked just fine. Made my own templates, saved them, tested them, all OK. You can also try to run it on compatibility mode (win8).

(I'm also using an SL Mkii) Q: Is there a way to copy the settings of one knob to another? eg If you manually configure a knob to send sysex information, but then change my mind and want to use a different knob. Is there a way to do this without having to manually put in all the settings again (to the new knob)?

USE a MIDI interface or USB. Novation SL MK2 MIDI messages through the USB connection work great

This software does not work on mac. Only on Windows, but if you have a MIDI connection, but on USB, it doesn't work on Windows either.
