i came across a lady in my local witchy shop and she really reminded me of you, she also had a way of invoking a giggly energy yet with such crone wisdom
Favorite moments: seeing all your treasures like tree shadows by candle light, AND Charlie coming in through the window and looking immediately at home in the “new” room! I felt nervous as you began to paint, but just like you, quickly saw the Magick coming to life! All of your special touches like rounding the corners and mixing 2- and 3-D ivy are things I need to remember, as you’ve really made this room such a beautifully immersive woodland space. BRAVO!

My favourite bit.... remembrance. How I used to decorate like this, all the way back in the 90s and early 2ks. I had glowy stars on the ceiling, branches tied to the bed like trees, leaves on the floor and magical bits everywhere. Over the years of having to move so much and dealing with mental illness. I got accustomed to white rented walls I couldn't do anything to. I'd forgotten how much I used to make my house a home. Lately I've been thinking about who I want to be, and then you popped up to remind me who I am. Thank you! (also I love the pirate ship plates best!) 💚

Something I discovered when I finally painted inside my house is that you DEFINITELY need darker walls to make the outside pop through the windows. White and cream to highlight inside the room, darker walls to highlight the outside. 😊

Wow, I decorated my room a couple of months back, half green, half white. With plants and forestry green bedding, wood and my lovely green fairy mirror my mother bought me years ago. Then I saw this, made my heart smile. So calm , so relaxing, so one with nature 🍃 ❤ and of course the Fairy’s 🧚

I remember that film. It was beautifully set. The colours were truely divine. I too was completely inspired by it. A lot of the effect is created by good lighting. Lighting can create beautiful effects and moods and can really play with colour.

Im not even done watching your video but, I just painted my front room a medium olive green. Bringing the beautiful outdoors inside. Although I am a sea witch that lives in Chicago, I do love all of nature. Everything is nature inspired in my home. I do notice from other British DIY videos, the paint out there is horrible. Here in the United States, just 2 coats with a good oil based paint and bam its totally covered forever. Love your videos Alwyn. Blessed be.
You are lucky!! The paint was good... but i must admit was cheap... so I wouldn't reccommend lol!
And I would definitely make a border between the wall and the ceiling, a light one, and on it images of either lilies of the Valley or blue forget-me-nots (Myosotis) .😘😘😘💚💚💚💚💚

Ive really been wanting to clean up my room repaint/decorate it. I’ve been doing loads of laundry and organizing but I haven’t yet done the painting and decorating. I tend to struggle with motivation but watching this video really gave me a motive to work towards! I want to paint my room green too (a bit darker than yours tho) so seeing what my room could look like is really inspiring!

Imagine if you painted the engravings on that table you have to look realistic! The earthy shades of a leaf or flower, that would have been so quaint and cute! Just a suggestion I envisioned and wanted to mention. Love the room colour, not done the video yet ❤

It turned out so beautiful and a calming space! I’m getting ready to charge my bedroom and bathroom to a beachy seashelly theme. Soft sands colors and warm tons. You need to watch the old original A little princess movie that Shirley Temple played in. It’s much better than these newer versions of the movie. ❤
This is so lovely! I love it. The amethyst trees are so perfect! It's flawless just as it is, of course. I love seasonal accents, though -- things that I change from season to season, like nature changes, and it's like bringing out old friends each season. Maybe you could find some silk wisteria for the springtime... it would be such a magical touch of purple flowers! Japanese maple leaves and blackberries would be lovely for autumn....
