Após o ano 1991 ele foi remodelado, devido a abertura das importações de carros, e com o passar dos anos ele perdeu o status de carro de luxo e passou a ser o preferido dos taxistas e viatura policial.

Este carro no Brasil vendeu muito. Tenho esta mecanica que coloquei em um corcel 2. O problema dele é bebe um pouco, mas anda bem! Pelo que vi no video, prcisarás trocar as buchas do motor de partida, neste carro encomodava muito.

Engine seems tough, so i hope it survives. When they came out in Europe, the sedan was called Santana, other versions - Passat. But when the facelifted versions were updated in mid 80s, VW dropped the Santana name in Europe and called them all Passat (sedan, hatchback, wagon) So older B2 sedans are Santana, newer B2 sedans are Passat

Looked up the 2door pictures. Looks weird to my eyes, like it’s based on a different car 😅 probably just because I’m too used to 4doors.
Here in Brazil my father had the Santana Executive 2.0 Ap Automatic version 1990 an excellent car.
We have also an automatic Santana LX only the gearbox is broken. Car body is definitely better than this one

In the US those were sold as a Quantum with a 5 cylinder Audi engine.
Would love a Quantum badge. Europe also got 5cyl engines, only seen a few left surviving, most of them in syncro cars

possible to alternator is not charging battery, use multimeter and read voltage on battery after start and if have 13.8v or more .
